Allie: Today? Svitolina-Barty. If ever a match had upset alert written all over it, this is it.

Martin: Kokkinakis v Del Potro is a blinder of a round one match. Also thinking Medvedev will upset Wawrinka later today.

Edward Lavis: The first week has some great potential matches. Dimitrov/Federer, Wawrinka/Verdasco and Novak/Delpo - all amazing if they happen!

  6. Murray practice done and dustedpublished at 11:29 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

A few dashes to the net for a drop-shot drill and Andy Murray's final practice session is done and dusted, just as the sun breaks through the clouds above the Aorangi courts. He heads off for a shower (probably) and the next time we will see the defending champion will be when he steps out on Centre Court around 13:00 BST to play Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik.

That's when we find out what shape his hip is really in.

So, what's going off at 11:30?

Laura Robson and Cameron Norrie are the first Brits in action today - Robson is on court 18, facing Beatriz Haddad Maia, while Norrie plays Jo-Wilfried Tsonga on court two

Elsewhere, Nick Kyrgios, Madison Keys, Denis Shapovalov, Alize Cornet and Sam Querrey are all playing. You can watch action across Wimbledon with our live streams, as well as our coverage on BBC Two and BBC Radio 5 live.

  8. Winning the queuing systempublished at 11:22 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Ellie Thomason
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

Suzanne and Michelle have got the queuing system absolutely nailed. They took time out from making bacon butties to have a chat.

Suzanne (on the left) has been coming for 34 years and has always camped, so she's an expert when it comes to getting the tickets she wants.

They're right near the front of the queue for Tuesday's show court tickets and are looking forward to seeing Roger Federer.

For Suzanne, sitting on Centre Court at Wimbledon "completely epitomises" this country, and there's nowhere else she would rather watch the Championships from.

    Can you blame her?

  10. Grand Slam deja vu for Kontapublished at 11:13 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Piers Newbery
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

It wasn't just Andy Murray who faced a 'race to be fit' for day one, fellow British number one Johanna Konta was also a doubt after a horrible fall at Eastbourne. We didn't see her on the Wimbledon practice courts until Sunday, but she was soon hitting and moving as fast and furiously as ever.

She will need to be fully fit, because she faces a case of Grand Slam deja vu today against Hsieh Su-Wei, the woman who beat her in the first round of the French Open five weeks ago.

Konta powered through the first set in Paris before the Taiawanese player's unusual mix of pace, slice and net play left the Briton completely flummoxed. Konta will hope grass, and 12,000 fans, will give her the edge today.

  11. Konta ready after 'traumatic fall'published at 11:10 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

British number one and sixth seed Johanna Konta is also ready for the grass-court tournament, but she too is on the mend.

A horrble fall during her Eastbourne quarter-final win over Angelique Kerber forced her to withdraw from the competition as she recovered from a back injury.

"It's much better," Konta said. "Definitely it was medically the right decision to not continue playing in Eastbourne, to give my body that chance to recover.

"It was a bit of a traumatic fall on the body."

    "Welcome to Wimbledon 2017!"

Cue huge cheers from those patiently waiting behind the starting rope.

    "And no running!"

These eager beavers adhere to that instruction as the gates open for the first time in 2017, briskly walking up past Court 1 as they head towards the outer courts and Henman Hill/Murray Mound.

  13. 'Attack took my smile away'published at 11:04 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

Two-time champion Petra Kvitova is back at Wimbledon and in good form, after claiming the title at Birmingham just two weeks ago.

Her story is a remarkable one - she suffered multiple injuries during a knife attack by an intruder in the Czech Republic in December 2016.

Since then, she's been determined to get back to playing, and it's a testatment to how far she's come that she is one of the favourites to win this year's tournament.

She told BBC Sport's David Ornstein that the attack "took her smile away" but she feels she has already won her biggest fight by being at the Championships. You can watch below.

  14. In the queuepublished at 11:01 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Ellie Thomason
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

A steward tells me that at 7:30am this morning there were already over 9,000 people in the queue, so most of the campers in Wimbledon Park already have their hopes resting on tomorrow.

Liza and Rene are in the queue for Tuesday's Centre Court tickets, and they reckon they are about half way through the 500 allocated tickets.

They arrived at 18:00 on Sunday night with one man on their mind - Roger Federer.

Rene is from Brittany in France, whilst Liza has come all the way from Melbourne. This is her first Wimbledon since 2010.

  17. Is Murray hindered by his hip, or not?published at 10:52 British Summer Time 3 July 2017

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

It's hard to tell. Andy Murray definitely limped as he walked out to the baseline - and did the same when he changed ends - but when he is hitting balls he moves a lot more freely. He has just put away a series of smashes without holding back.
