Bit of a problem with the umpire's microphone but all is resolved quickly.

Right, now for some live tennis.

    It's Wozniacki to serve first.

A fascinating interview with Pliskova on BBC One. Apparently she's a fan of carp fishing...

On last year's final, the 25-year-old said: "It was windy last year and it was not easy.

"It was a tough battle, I was sad I didn't make it but I'm just happy to have another chance this year.

    And on that hobby:

"I don't have as much time for it as before, you really need a day off to go into nature.

"I don't have that right now but when I stop playing I'll get back to it.

Eastbourne is not a warm-up event - look at the names on the trophy. You need to win this tournament to give yourself the best chance at Wimbledon. The penny has dropped with the players.

Karolina Pliskova v Caroline Wozniacki (12:15 BST)

Wozniacki made the final with a hard-fought victory over Heather Watson yesterday.

But could fitness play a part today? Wozniacki received treatment on an abdominal injury during the game and will be considerably less fresh than Pliskova.

The Czech had a walkover in her semi-final after Jo Konta pulled out with a back injury.

Although Pliskova won't move up in the rankings with victory this afternoon, last year's finalist can gain valuable ground on world number one and two Angelique Kerber and Simona Halep ahead of the start of Wimbledon next week.

Pliskova was beaten by Slovak Dominika Cibulkova in 2016 - she'll be keen to avoid the double in her push for top spot.

Karolina Pliskova - ranked third in the world.

Wozniacki - ranked sixth in the world.

But on head-to-head record? It's 4-1 to the Dane.

The last time these two played each other was just three months ago in Miami.

Pliskova took the first set, but then it was a stroll in the park for Wozniacki who defeated the Czech 5-7 6-1 6-1.

It's a tale of what could have been for British tennis today.

Two Britons in the semis, but neither contest the final.

Heather Watson was beaten by Caroline Wozniacki as her fine run came to an end.

And British number one Jo Konta withdrew from her semi-final against Karolina Pliskova with a back injury.

So it's Wozniacki against Pliskova this afternoon. A fine prospect for the Eastbourne final.
