  8. 'I apologise'published at 18:22 British Summer Time 8 July 2017

Djokovic on questioning the umpire’s decision: “Maybe it wasn't right saying me doing that and I apologise. It was frustrating because I thought the call should have been different. He is trying to do his job best he can, as am I. Sometimes it can just be said in the heat of the match."

  9. 'I raised the level of tennis'published at 18:19 British Summer Time 8 July 2017

Novak Djokovic speaking on BBC One: "I am delighted with my performance today, I thought I raised the level of tennis, comparing to the first couple of matches. This was the most focused I have been on the court and it came at the right time. Gulbis presents a great challenge; he is very unpredictable and has a huge serve. It's not easy playing on grass against someone like that.

"In general, I am pleased with the way I have felt and the way I played, I’m glad the crowd enjoyed it."

    Federer v Zverev

Centre Court's favourite son (ok, one of them) is up next.

Roger Federer returns to the grass as he bids to make the last 16 for the 15th time in his career.

The Swiss third seed is up against Mischa Zverev, who has never been past the third round before.

Mischa's younger sibling, Alexander, is already through. They are bidding to become only the third pair of brothers to reach the round of 16 at the same Grand Slam event in the Open Era.
