    Gulbis 4-6 1-6 6-6 Djokovic (1-4)

Gulbis back on serve. Needs to hold both.

Overpowers Djokovic to win the first with some adept hitting from deep, and then volleys wide at the net. A huge ROAR from Djokovic. Is that it?

Djoko with the mini break then. A weekend in Paris.

The crowd saw what happened towards the end of the second set when Gulbis was fading, looking bleak. He's battled hard, has dug in, tried some different things and the people have responded. It's been an excellent set.

    Gulbis 4-6 1-6 6-5 Djokovic

Djokovic serving to stay in the third set then. Can Gulbis break and force a fourth?

    Gulbis 4-6 1-6 6-5 Djokovic

Gulbis has to change racquets at deuce, and now he has to face a break point too. First serve into the net, saves it with a smart backhand shot.

Deuce again as Gulbis finds the net. Djokovic slips on the baseline again, and again! Gulbis holds.

    Kontaveit 6-3 6-7 (3-7) 2-6 Wozniacki

About an hour ago, Anett Kontaveit was a set to to the good, with a 5-4 lead in the second set and a 30-0 lead as she served for the match.

And now? She's just lost the match after a supreme comeback from Caroline Wozniacki.

Wozniacki looked completely out of that, outpaced and outserved by her opponent, yet she clung in there and there's a huge smile on her face as she secures victory. She'll play Coco Vandeweghe in the next round.

    Ofner 4-6 4-6 2-6 Zverev

A good omen for the Zverevs, as Alexander tidies up a simple win over qualifier Sebastian Ofner.

It took the German one hour and 22 minutes to register victory and set up a last 16 meeting with sixth seed Milos Raonic.

It's his first time in the last 16 at SW19, with today's result making this Zverev's best run at a Grand Slam.

    Gulbis 4-6 1-6 5-5 Djokovic

Gulbis to serve, still hitting 110mph on a second serve and Djoko finds the net only with it. He's angry with himself, knows that was a chance to pressure and find a break.

We go to deuce though. Gulbis peppers the line with a fizzing forehand, great shot. But then duffs a volley into the net.

    Gulbis 4-6 1-6 5-5 Djokovic

Djoko to serve, approaching the two-hour mark and he doesn't look like he's left the house. Fresh as a daisy. Gulbis has to scamper to meet a drop shot but gets there easily.

He holds and the third set rolls on. Laura Kenny has had to revert to the manual hand fan in the Royal Box. Sweltering.

Roger Federer still to come of course. Could be another late night on Centre.

You have to give Gulbis credit, he is trying to do different things and throwing in the occasional serve and volley. He's using his touch pretty well.

Excellent smash from Gulbis to open up his service game and he holds on easily enough.

    Federer v Zverev

This is the fifth tour level meeting between Roger Federer and Mischa Zverev and their third this year.

Zverev has never beaten the third seed and in their first grass court encounter in 2013, the German failed to register a game. The dreaded double bagel came acalling.

    Gulbis 4-6 1-6 4-4 Djokovic

Gulbis can still hit the odd pearler, whipping a forehand into the corner and givign Djokovic a problem he can't answer. Great shot.

But Djokovic wears him down, forcing a 32nd unforced error as Gulbis fires long.

Proper sunscreen application from Andre Agassi, smothering his entire head in the stuff. Good work.

Djokovic to serve at 3-4 down in the third.

    Ofner 4-6 4-6 1-1 Zverev*

Mischa Zverev will be on court after Djokovic, and he might have taken a bit of time to check how little brother Alexander 'Sascha' Zverev is going on.

Tenth seed Sascha is currently two sets up against Sebastian Ofner on court two, and the gangly 20-year-old and his opponent have been trading breaks to get the third set going.

Now I really have learned something

Tennis players select balls for a variety of reasons but normally to avoid or select fluffy balls. Some balls fluff up more from the play they get during rallies. If you want a hard flat serve then a balder ball will be better. Fluffier ones could be better when kicking a serve because there will be more traction to create spin. Sometimes players just like certain balls though and there's no rhyme or reason... Hope that helps.

Can a hill be on form?

Novak Djokovic can, holding serve and levelling up, even if Ernests Gulbis plays the point of the game with a cross-courter.
