I don't think Kyle's played lights out, but he's kept the pressure on with the forehand. It's drained Dimitrov's confidence. He must be feeling the pressure as the favourite before this match.

That was a terrible mis-step from Dimitrov - he was aiming down the line and ended up spearing the ball way out of play.

Coach Daniel Vallverdu looks at him like he can't believe what he's just done. Dimitrov doesn't look best pleased, either.

Momentum swings this way and that, as Grigor Dimitrov outpaces Kyle Edmund with his serve, before Edmund cracks a winner into the corner of the court.

Now it's Dimitrov that falters! Into the net goes his attempted slash, and it's break point to Edmund...

There's rounds of applause for Kyle Edmund as he induces the error out of Grigor DImitrov's backhand, the Bulgarian slicing the ball into the foot of the net.

Another stonking forehand is hit with pinpoint accuracy and, just like that, Edmund holds.

A speedy hold for Grigor Dimitrov, faltering only with a forehand that drifts long.

Well this is becoming a thing now. A huge cheer rings around Rod Laver Arena as Edmund takes the third set, and his explosive game seems to be winning plenty of new fans here this afternoon.

You have to wonder how his coach Fredrik Rosengren will cope with his man one set from a Grand Slam semi-final. The 57-year-old Swede is an extremely engaging individual, and cannot help but live every point from the player box. He's been leaning over the railing urging his man on since the start - Edmund said after his last match that it helps, and it certainly seems to be working today.

Kyle Edmund has nipped off for a comfort break - he returns with a towel draped over his shoulders.

Grigor Dimitrov, meanwhile, has spent time sat in his chair, leg tapping about furiously. Here we go...

Kyle has been serving really well, he has been dominating with that shot. He's been a little bit up and down with the forehand. Dimitrov's serve seems to be all over the place and he seems to be nervous. I don't whether that's expectation. Credit to Kyle because he is dominating this match.

There's still lots to do for Kyle Edmund but he showed some good nerve to hang in that set, and then take advantage when Grigor Dimitrov faltered.

A thoroughly grumpy-looking Grigor Dimitrov comes cantering up to the net to volley a winner, before Edmund responds with an excellent winner of his own.

It's 30-30, feels like it might go either way - but it's Edmund who darts forward, meeting a bobble off the net and crashing the forehand over in response!
