I wouldn't have predicted this. He's showed pedigree in Grand Slams, so we could see the building blocks were in place. But he's gone further than we imagined and done it sooner. He's taking it all in his stride. He doesn't want to engage in what it means to him as he's got a tournament to play.

On becoming the sixth British man to reach a Grand Slam semi-final: "It's great. You don't think of those things when you play but it's something to be proud of. As a kid you're growing up looking at your idols and when you're here progressing in the best tour in the world, it's amazing.

On media pressure: "I know what it feels like to be Andy Murray for the last eight years. It comes with the territory of playing professional tennis. It's the first time I've done well on my own so I'm going to get more attention. You take it in your stride. It's a good problem to have - to win and get that more attention."

The replays of that final moment are hilarious: Tim Henman, in the crowd, is sat shaking his head as they wait for Hawkeye.

Fredrik Rosengren looks super tense and then lets it all out as soon as he sees the ball is out. It's lovely to see.

Edmund on Dimitrov: "He's played hard matches, especially against Nick Kyrgios and I knew it was going to be tough. I had a bit of a dip and I was playing quite poor tennis at times. But I held my nerve and prayed that last ball was out."

Kyle Edmund will break into the top 30 for the first time in his career after the tournament.

He's also recorded five straight Tour-level match wins for the first time in his career.

Kyle Edmund speaking on court: "It's an amazing feeling. With these sort of things, you're emotionally engaged and you don't take it in. At the end of a hard match, I just tried to enjoy the moment. Thanks you guys, it's my first match on this court and it was very special."

Either Rafa Nadal or Marin Cilic await Kyle Edmund next.

But for now, he can enjoy the fact that he is Kyle Edmund: Australian Open semi-finalist.

Kyle Edmund is the first British man other than Andy Murray to reach the semi-finals in Melbourne since John Lloyd in December 1977.

He's also the first Brit other than Murray to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final since Tim Henam reached the last eight at the US Open in 2004.
