    S Williams 3-2 Rus*

    Kim Clijsters
Former world number one on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Serena is really trying to find her match focus. Obviously she's been practising but because of the injury she had she has not played as many matches as she's used to.

Her preparation is different and it will take her a little bit longer than in previous years to get into her stride.

    S Williams 3-2 Rus*

Great serve out wide from Serena, and she lets out a cry as she hits the follow-up backhand winner.

Rus defends will to draw the error out of Serena's forehand, but she can do nothing about a huge ace for 40-15, and Williams hits a forehand winner to close out the game.

  10. 'So, if it's not Mount Murray, what shall we call it?' Pt Ipublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 2 July 2018

The hill/mount is packed. Everybody is trying their best to fight the heat - cool drinks to covering themselves in a blanket. Not sure the latter will work.

With Andy Murray absent, BBC Sport thought it would ask one of the attendees what the geological section should be (temporarily) renamed.

Cue Andrew Crampton and Charlotte Royle from Manchester, who queued for three hours to get in. Bet they were glad they ran into me.

After about 10 minutes of trying to apply alliteration the pair came up with....

    "Mount Roger"

    We'll take that.

    *S Williams 2-2 Rus

Advantage Rus, as Serena hoicks a return of serve into the net.

Another chance for Serena to go cross-court, Rus stranded to one side - but the American misses a forehand, and we're staying on serve.

    And save it, she does!

Serena is nailing these shots but the wind picks up a forehand and drags it over the tramlines.

    Deuce.

Serena aims a backhand down the line and, er, misses by some way.

One more break point for Rus to defend....

Court One seems to be windier than the others, today, as Arantxa Rus double faults for 0-30.

The Dutch gets on the board as a lob from Serena lands out, but some deep hitting doesn't work for Rus, and two break points come rattling along for Serena.

    Wawrinka 1-6 2-1 Dimitrov*

That's better from Stan Wawrinka in the second set, starting to find his feet a little.

The Swiss lost the first five games on the spin on his way to giving up the opening set against Grigor Dimitrov, but has held serve so far in the second over on Centre Court.

It wasn't easy for him earlier...

    S Williams 2-1 Rus*

Oh, that is superb from Arantxa Rus!

She comes up to the net and Serena throws shot after shot at her, trying desperately to pass her. Rus keeps everything out, hands and feet moving so quick, and eventually she volleys a backhand way out of Serena's reach.

    Back on serve!

Fine defence from Arantxa Rus, keeping out several big shots from Serena Williams, and eventually it's Serena who errs on the forehand.

Serena finds her first serve to get on the board at 15-30, but the American misses a forehand down the line, and Rus has two break back points.
