    Broady 5-7 0-6 1-6 Raonic

Well, it was a promising start from Liam Broady on his Wimbledon debut, but he met a big-serving Milos Raonic in formidable form.

Raonic marches on, and a few of the big names will be weary of the Canadian 13th seed after that...

    *Wawrinka 0-1 Dimitrov

All going Grigor Dimitrov's way in the early exchanges.

He holds to 15, before forcing deuce against Stan Wawrinka from a 40-0 deficit. A backhand into the net hands Dimitrov a break point.

    Broady 5-7 0-6 1-6 Raonic

Lovely from Liam Broady, beating the giant Canadian at the net with a flicking backhand cross-court winner.

The British number four engages the 13th seed again at the tape, but Raonic slaps down a smash to shrug him off.

And that paves the way for Raonic. A mammoth ace, his 18th of the match, to progress to the second round.

Grigor Dimitrov, who beat Stan Wawrinka on his way to the Queen's title in 2014, will serve first.

That second set took just 25 minutes, this one has reached 19 - can Milos Raonic polish it off in the next six minutes?

Liam Broady plans on sticking around for a little longer, but a slapping forehand from his Canadian opponent fizzes off the turf for another winner.

    Two break points.

I think Liam Broady has just angered the beast.

Milos Raonic dusts himself off and hammers down three ferocious serves, before the British number four gets a point on the board.

Ace number 17 does the trick for Milos, though. Unstoppable.

    Larsson 7-6 2-6 1-6 V Williams

It is an 88th match win for Venus Williams at Wimbledon as she gets past Johanna Larsson but it wasn't easy.

The five-time former champion struggled in the opening set against the Swede but she was more confident in set two and three.

The 38-year-old will next face Romanian qualifier Alexandra Dulgheru.

    Liam Broady saves the first.

Can he stop Milos Raonic winning a 12th successive game? He can at least delay it, that's deuce.

Raonic goes long, and a wide, whipping serve gets Broady on the board for the first time in two sets.

    Dimitrov v Wawrinka

Grigor Dimitrov and Stan Wawrinka are going through their routines on Centre Court.

Neither player is in great form at the minute - Wawrinka is continuing his comeback from a lengthy injury spell, while Dimitrov has struggled since the Australian Open.

Wawrinka has slipped right down the rankings and lost in the first round here last year, a defeat which led to his spell on the sidelines.

Dimitrov won the season-ending ATP Tour finals last year but his best performance since then has been reaching the final of the Rotterdam Open, where he lost to Roger Federer.

It is tough for Broady, it is not through lack of effort. Whatever match he plays he always gives 100% but he's playing one of the best grass players at the moment.

Tough day at the office but hopefully a few better ones in the future.

Nice eyes from Liam Broady, wrong-footing Milos Raonic as he scuttles into the net to meet a short ball with a winning backhand.

Wow. What a backhand from Raonic, that barely lifted off the surface after clipping the baseline - 15-40 and two break points.

    Azarenka 7-6 (7-4) 6-3 Alexandrova

Victoria Azarenka marches on, beating Ekaterina Alexandrova in straight sets.

Azarenka fell once again in the final set, her heavily-strapped right leg giving way underneath her, but she rallied to close out the match one hour and 49 minutes.

Up next for the two-time Grand Slam champ? One Karolina Pliskova.

    *Broady 5-7 0-6 0-3 Raonic

With that brief chance extinguished, Milos Raonic is in no mood for letting Liam Broady have another.

He leaps high into the SW19 sky to reach an attempted lob and flick it back beyond the stranded Brit to hold.

    Broady 5-7 0-6 0-2 Raonic*

Another line judge takes the brunt of a Milos Raonic serve. Hang about, he's just sizzled a second serve down at 140mph... but it's long. Come on now, Milos.

And now a chance to earn a first break point for Liam Broady as he makes it 15-30. No, Raonic just winds up a forehand and unleashes it across court with some serious venom.

Could this be the start of a comeback?

Sweden's Johanna Larsson has broken back once - she just needs to break back twice more against Venus Williams in this third set.

If you miss the chance to leave the court in the 90 seconds when the players change ends, the stewards tell you (politely but urgently) to just sit down wherever you are - which is how two very flustered and confused fans ended up in the press seats on Court One. But it looked like they found the wooden desk handy for their drinks.
