    40-30.

It's been sapping stuff from the pair so far.

Wayne Ellis: Thiem has caused Rafa more problems on clay than probably anyone else, but this is RG. Think it’ll be closer than last year, but Nadal to win in 4.

You've got to hand it to Thiem - he is making Nadal work in these rallies.

But who do you think will be first to blink?

    30-0.

40-0 as Thiem finds the net.

This has a different feel to last year's final. Thiem isn't overawed. He's not like a deer in headlights as he was last year in his first major final.

Any idea who Jorge Prados and Luiz Ruiz - who have travelled over from Madrid - are supporting?

It's the same man who they met near the Eiffel Tower last night...

"We met him on the street," says Jorge. "Although we were expecting him to appear because we knew where he was staying!

"First the security person stopped us but we said 'we've come from Spain to see Rafa'.

"And Rafa told the guys to let us close and take a photo.

"We were nervous, said to him we didn't want to annoy him. Then we wished him luck!"

    Nadal 1-0 Thiem*

Thiem makes a double but follows it up with two super shots which send Nadal out wide.

The 'Thiem drop' which confused and upset Djokovic is read by Nadal who responds with his own.

    Too good Rafa. Too good.

    30-30.

If this first game is anything to go by. This is going to be physical, it's going to be a classic and it's going to be long.

    30s each.

Thiem does remarkably well to keep pace with Nadal's groundstrokes in a brilliant rally.

Alas, he comes unstuck before returning long.

    Game Spain.

One unruly baby has decided to start wailing, putting Nadal off his stride.

Laughter greets the noise at first.

Then Rafa shakes his head when the kid stretches its lungs again.

Nadal looks at the umpire to ask him to do something. Think it’s the parents who need to take action and head off court...

  20. 'I'm not going to tired' - Thiempublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 9 June 2019

Here's what "adrenaline-fuelled" Thiem said after Saturday's victory over Novak Djokovic.

"To play Rafa here on this court is always the ultimate challenge, one of the toughest challenges in sports.

"It's an unbelievable opportunity. I said last year that I hope to get another chance in a Grand Slam final and do better then, so tomorrow there is the chance. I think it's really important that I go into the match with the belief to win. That's the most important thing.

"I’m still feeling fine, I’m still full of adrenaline. I’m not going to be tired, I’m ready to leave everything I have out on the court tomorrow."
