Lloyd Harris is now getting some physio treatment and a medical timeout. The physio is wrapping the left calf of Harris very tightly. Hard enough playing Federer when you're fully fit, but if you're injured you've got no chance.

    Martina Navratilova
Nine-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC TV

This match was closer than the scoreline says. Ana Bogdan did well for a set and a half but she made mistakes in the second set that cost her.

But big marks to Johanna Konta. She held her head in the big moments and she comes through well.

There was a lot of pressure so it's obvious she has her confidence back. She's a much better player than she was a few years ago. So it's a great start for her.

Check out those first serve points won by Roger Federer. Perfection. The fact he only got 28% of first serves in though, room for improvement.

Johanna Konta never really looked like taking either of her match points, dumping into the net before hitting an off-balance forehand between the tramlines.

    Deuce.

Johanna Konta has absolutely been pushed in this match. It's been very tight but Konta has handled the big moments well.

She's taken the breaks when she's had the chances and she's played well when put under pressure by Ana Bogdan. Bogdan hasn't given Konta a lot to play with.

Johanna Konta's serving could not have been better aimed if it had been directed from a high-tech American intelligence lair in Virginia somewhere.

One pinged wide, one rasped down the middle. Ana Bogdan hurling herself left and right without getting a sniff of the fuzz.
