Eight minutes. Four set points. Three deuces. Off the hook.

Murray to serve it out. Barely an empty seat.

    *Williams/Murray 5-4 Mies/Guarachi

15-0 as Murray yorks his serve into the feet of Mies.

A great return from Guarachi is returned only to the racquet of Mies who smashes a winner in between the other pair.

    15-15.

  5. Evans holdspublished at 19:56 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

    Evans 6-4 4-6 5-7 4-4 *Sousa

A hold to love. There have not been many of those for either player in this match.

That one comes at a good time for Dan Evans as he turns the spotlight onto Joao Sousa and his serve.

    *Williams/Murray 5-4 Mies/Guarachi

Murray's return once again fails to navigate itself over the net.

Three set-point chances and three saved.

The Brit and Williams return to their chairs, take a swig of water and continue to take it all in.

Murray will now have the chance to serve for the set.

  7. Sousa holdspublished at 19:54 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

    *Evans 6-4 4-6 5-7 3-4 Sousa

Shifting Joao Sousa is like prising week-old chewing gum off the sole of your shoe.

The Portuguese's "stickability" is pooping the Court One party for all those who wanted to see Evans take this at least to a fifth.

Serena looked like she was playing Twister on a mat covered in lard as she scrabbled about on the floor at the net.

Williams laughs away uncontrollably before getting to her feet.

    Entertainment value 10/10.

Saved as the pairs exchange shots with table tennis speed with Murray just falling short with a return.

    Deuce.

Williams then tells what she thinks of Mies' serve by sending back the ball past the German before he's even completed his service motion.

Both are saved - gutsy from the Chilean-German combo.

    *Evans 6-4 4-6 5-7 3-3 Sousa

Dan Evans faces up to break point....and needlessly over cooks a forehand.

That looked twitchy. Is the cocktail of lactic and nerves proving difficult to swallow down?

Chris Noble: Serandy is too similar to Sir Andy. Therefore has to be Andrena by default!

  15. Two set pointspublished at 19:49 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

    Williams/Murray 5-3 Mies/Guarachi*

    15-30.

Andreas Mies, who won the French Open men's doubles titles, goes long with his first serve before his second eventually ends with partner Alex Guarachi punches her volley into the net.

    15-40.

Bloomin' heck! That was a one-two punch from Ser-Andy to set up the second break point which David Haye - watching from behind his shades in the Royal box - would have been proud of.

Ferocious. Many Centre Court spectators leapt to their feet like blood-thirsty fight fans wanting the knockout blow. They didn't get it.

    Williams/Murray 5-3 Mies/Guarachi*

A kicking second serve is too good for Alexa Guarachi.

And then she gets her revenge on Mies with a Japanese bullet train of a serve.

    Game WilMu.

    Williams with the new balls.

Her first two thunderous serves are returned long. You never lose it eh?

She then gets involves in a crosscourt forehand rally with Andreas Mies, but comes off second best.

    30-15.

Che Seabourne: What is the better portmanteau? Team Andrena or Team Serandy? I am thinking the latter! Great to see Andy Murray and Serena Williams on court together in the mixed doubles.

What do we think? Any other suggestions?

  20. Sousa holdspublished at 19:42 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

    *Evans 6-4 4-6 5-7 3-2 Sousa

Joao Sousa brings up 40-0 with a lovely cushioned dropper just out of reach for Dan Evans as he flies up from the back of the court.

Evans flays a mighty forehand return winner to bring back a point.

But over the back he flies on the next point.
