    Williams/Murray 4-2 Mies/Guarachi*

The defence wall of WilMu goes up to win a point and set up another break point but once again Murray, with a chance to claim glory, falls short, by failing to clear the net with his forehand.

    We move on.

    Deuce.

  3. Evans holdspublished at 19:39 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

    Evans 6-4 4-6 5-7 3-1 *Sousa

Dan Evans prowls and prances at the back of the court as he bags the first of the four successive service holds that he needs to book in for a fifth set.

  4. Postpublished at 19:38 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

    Williams/Murray 4-2 Mies/Guarachi*

Great reactions from Mies but Murray anticipates the German's move to bring up another break point.

However, with a golden chance to convert the Briton puts too much juice on his forehand.

    Deuce again.

Murray Mound is packed as fans enjoy a split screen of the Centre Court and Court One action.

What a way to spend your Saturday night. Watching two of the greatest tennis players of all time playing together on the same side of the net on the same court.

This is one of those “I was there” moments, isn’t it? One to tell the grandkids.

Neil Iwanicki: This Evans chap has got a temper on him, hasn't he? Likes the hissy fit, this one. Needs to chill.

James Stevenson: Has Joao Sousa got the most annoying grunt in men’s tennis or what? Can’t stand the noises he is making!

    Williams/Murray 4-2 Mies/Guarachi*

Mies' mis-hit dumbfounds server Murray, before the Scot gets his revenge with an ace.

We bet that felt good Andy.

  11. Evans holdspublished at 19:32 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

    Evans 6-4 4-6 5-7 2-0 *Sousa

Dan Evans backs up the break with a service hold that was interrupted by the Briton moaning at a line judge about some noise from the crowd or possibly the man opposite.

As Sonia mentioned, Joao Sousa is at least Maria Sharapova's equal in the decibel count.

    *Williams/Murray 3-2 Mies/Guarachi

England manager Gareth Southgate is watching - pretty sure he's been in that seat since 13:00 BST.

15-0 then Williams quietly says, "Mine" as her smash bounces on the turf and lands on Aorangi.

    30-0.

    40-0.

  13. Distracting noises?published at 19:30 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

Joao Sousa does make a lot of noise - and at strange times. Most people do their putting-in-lots-of-effort grunts at the point they swing the racquet through the ball.

Not Sousa - he is sometimes a good second later or even before. That must surely be quite distracting for opponents.

Evans is handling it well but it is drawing the occasional snigger from the crowd.

  14. Evans breakspublished at 19:29 British Summer Time 6 July 2019

    *Evans 6-4 4-6 5-7 1-0 Sousa

Dan Evans works up two break points and then holds his nerve best as he goes toe-to-toe with Joao Sousa in a cross-court exchange of slice backhands (Evans) and big bolshy forehands (Sousa).

An early lead in the set. But we have seen that before.

A great chance for Alex Guarachi to slap home a forehand winner and go 40-0 up - but fires goes wide.

Andreas Mies pulls them out of a spot of bother with two big serves.

A tough one for Diego Schwartzman to take, as the Argentine exited Wimbledon following a mammoth five-set tustle with Italian Matteo Berrettini.

Schwartzman had led two sets to one, but Berrettini fought back to win 6-7 (5-7) 7-6 (7-2) 4-6 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 in that one.

    The emojis say it all.
