“We love you both!” shouts one lady. Nice sentiment but not great timing as the umpire has to remind fans to be quiet during play just as Federer was preparing to serve.

I can make out Sampras, Goran, Murray, Federer, Agassi - Wimbledon's finest have their pride of place on this wonderful jacket.

Novak Djokovic looks so tense on his backhand slice. He is being forced back further and further and cannot create anything.
Novak has to force himself to create more. He cannot expect Roger to miss. That is not the way that he will win this match.

Federer looks to the sky. He knows. A chance for set point goes begging and then another loose return sees Djokovic home.

A timely response from Djokovic at love-30 on his serve.
You'd expect nothing less.

Touch of a genius. A feathery floater from Federer leaves a few rising to their feet and leaves the scoreboard 30-0 in his favour...
Novak replies with an ace and then lands another first serve before dispatching that backhand to restore parity.
When the going gets tough, Novak gets going.
A service winner edges him ahead and then... oh... a double fault.
From clutch to tight in the space of a few seconds.
Deuce...
'It gave Djokovic no chance' - Federer wins point with deft volley

Very unscientifically, I have just calculated that there are probably 50 “come on, Roger”s to one “come on, Novak” in this Centre Court crowd.

They have both come out of the blocks pretty quickly but I still feel that Novak has another couple of notches to go up yet to reach the level that he can.

We've only had one break point so far - that was on Novak's serve.
Can we get another one here? And it wouldn't be any old break point...

Jane Tatam: Listening to the cricket on Five Live, watching the tennis on BBC, and following F1 on the Beeb website. I ask myself will Djokovic make one of his sudden pitstops at a crucial moment, will Woakes serve an ace, let's hope Hamilton doesn't disappear into silly mid-on!

Good emoji use from Lyndsey. I'm giving you a thumb up and a hand clap.
What emoji would we use for the start to this final? A few fires for me. This is HOT.
Another strong hold for Federer, whacking down a sledgehammer of an ace to finish.
That was the sort of serve which can crack courts.

From inside our glass booth it is quite hard to hear the Centre Court crowd, although it doesn't seem particularly partisan. (Although Christopher Clarey from the New York Times did say there was some clapping earlier when Novak double faulted.)
Polite applause as the Serb holds to 15. Still down at 46% on first serves landed...

I think I would give the edge to Roger Federer at the moment, his shots are warming up nicely.
Djokovic has not served particularly well yet. His first serve percentage is down at 46%.

Ah, Stefan. Legend. Once part of Federer's team and still close to the Swiss maestro.
Edberg will be happy at what he's watching so far, although a Federer smash didn't get him to his feet like it did many in front of our comms box.
Two more winners sees Roger back to his chair without a bloody nose.

It's so fascinating how Roger Federer can change his style from match to match.
Look at against Nadal, now look at Djokovic. Roger depends on his opponent in a particular match to decide his style.

Novak Djokovic gives an Ivan Drago-style stare across the net after walloping a volley in for 30-0. Federer is quick on his heels to avoid any confrontation.
The Serb whacks down an ace for 40-15 and the punches keep rolling. Federer slightly stutters and bats a forehand long.
Tighter than Noel Gallagher's strings.
