Gerard Boyd: Konta plays a very high power aggressive game but there is a risk there for unforced errors. It's not to do with 'bottle' as some claim.

*Svitolina 6-4 5-4 Konta
Svitolina shows some great defence as Konta produces cross-court shot after cross-court shot. But the wall stays firm and Konta nets. 30-15, two points from a Svitolina win.

Konta means business here. It's do or die for her.
Svitolina is serving for a place in the semi-finals - Konta must put her on the back foot.
*Svitolina 6-4 5-4 Konta
Svitolina is forced backwards, and an angled backhand from her loops up and out. 0-15, but a great serve next up leads to a return going long, 15-15.

Andrew Morris: I'm getting Tim Henman-esque vibes from Konta. Good enough to get to the pointy end of most Slams but just missing that little bit that makes true champions a la Serena, Venus, Murray, Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, etc.
Peter Hutson-Jones: Whatever happens Jo Konta should be praised for a fantastic, consistent season. Real progress- the margins at the highest levels of the sport are so small. She has done brilliantly.
*Svitolina 6-4 5-4 Konta
She's not going out without a fight. Johanna Konta shows great mental strength to save two match points, producing fine serves on both occasions.
Now she has to break the Svitolina serve to keep this one going.

Jack Bedlam: Jo Konta is such a difficult watch - the way she can go from genius to I just picked up a racket yesterday, in the space of one service game.
Dennis Ethan: Quite an erratic match this, lots of unforced errors.
Svitolina 6-4 5-3 Konta*
A brilliant serve, just when she needs it straight down the middle, saves match point for a second time. Konta on the brink, but just about hanging on.
Svitolina 6-4 5-3 Konta*
Konta has saved one match point. She will have to do it again after putting too much on to a backhand.

108 miles per hour.
That was one of her best serves for a while.
Svitolina 6-4 5-3 Konta*
A great deep serve from Konta, Svitolina just about gets her racquet to it, but can't control where the ball goes. It is long. Match point saved. Deuce.

Konta just doesn't seem to have the mental strength to win a slam. I'd like to be proved wrong... but not sure I will.

Svitolina 6-4 5-3 Konta*
Match point for Svitolina as Konta goes long.
Svitolina 6-4 5-3 Konta*
Svitolina attacks with an attempt at a backhand winner but it goes long, 30-30.

I still don't feel like Johanna Konta has got anywhere near as much out of her serve as she usually does today.
Svitolina 6-4 5-3 Konta*
A double fault, Konta's first of the match, comes at a really, really bad time. 0-30, Svitolina needs two more points.

Isabel Sinagola: God I'm seeing a lot of men with opinions on the Konta match feed. How about you stick to your day jobs and let Johanna get on with hers? She's played phenomenal tennis all year
Svitolina 6-4 5-3 Konta*
Elina Svitolina is four shots from the last four. Konta needs perfection from now on as Svitolina is one game away from the win.

This is where we really need Tom Hiddlestone to step in.
Do something Tom.
*Svitolina 6-4 4-3 Konta
A forehand from Konta is top-edged and long, that is unforced error number 30 from the Briton, with 13 from the Ukrainian. 40-30.
