    *Medvedev 5-7 2-3 Nadal

Nadal pushes Medvedev around the court to go 30-0 up, the Russian skidding along the baseline before netting to gift Nadal the second point.

He wins the next point with the help of the net cord, a cheeky drop shot flopping over.

But Nadal, once again, shows aggression as he approaches the net, forcing Medvedev into a mistake.

    Two break points Nadal.

But it's Nadal who brings up the advantage for his fourth break point of this game.

Can he make it? Nope. Medvedev flies a rapid shot towards him, it bounces high on the baseline and Nadal smashes it way, way long.

Medvedev shows more heart to get the advantage himself.

Medvedev has got to raise his first serve percentage. He needs to figure out the key to the puzzle because this is not enough.

Great movement off the ball from Medvedev at 30-0 down. With Medvedev out wide, Nadal slices the ball in the other direction but Medvedev reaches it to slam it down the line and then levels.

Nadal brings up 40-30 with his second ace of the day, or does he? Medvedev challenges...but it's IN. Right down the middle of the T.

He needs to stay with Nadal here, at the very least. He's not going to win from two sets down, I don't think.

So far, Medvedev's been getting just shy of 70% of his first serves in, but he hasn't been able to keep Nadal fully at bay.

    Medvedev 5-7 1-1 Nadal*

A cheeky touch past Medvedev at the net secures the first point for Nadal. Medvedev stuck his racquet out expecting to flick it back but his long arms just aren't long enough.

He levels and then it's 30-15 as Nadal fails to connect with a great forehand to the baseline. On the next point, he manages to poke a forehand into the corner, even if it wasn't a clean strike off his racquet.

    Holds.
