Federer 2-1 Mannarino*
After two really tight games to get us started, Federer holds to 15 in the third one.

The rain - which you can hear pattering on the Centre Court roof - has put paid to a number of matches of the outside courts today, including those featuring British women Emma Raducanu and Samantha Murray Sharan.
Canadian fifth seed Bianca Andreescu’s match has also bit the dust.
Federer 1-1 Mannarino
That's 11 minutes for two games and a thrilling start to this one on Centre Court.
If it continues to be this hard-fought, England will have started, finished (and hopefully beaten) Germany in the Euro 2020 last-16 tie before this one is all over.
Federer 1-0 Mannarino*
Mannarino dashes into the net to push away a volleyed backhand at the net to wipe out the second of those two break points. Deuce. Five break points already, we're only in the second game, none taken. Great stuff.
Kerber 6-4 2-0 Stojanovic*
Things are a little easier for Angelique Kerber in this second set.
Her trademark punchy forehand is skewed long and high into the crowd by Nina Stojanovic, and Kerber has an early break to her name.
Federer has to crouch down to his left and send back a backhand but it loops high and out. But he's still got one break point chance.
Mannarino nearly went long but was saved by Hawk Eye, but then does indeed go long and that's two break points for Federer.

The slightly unsure start from Federer has soon been replaced the swagger which is synonymous with this place.
After a poor showing in Halle recently, there were murmurings that Federer was - whisper it, quietly - past it.
On Saturday he was bullish in his presser, saying he was “ready” and “pumped up”.
Federer 1-0 Mannarino*
Nearly a sensational start from Adrian Mannarino, who takes the opening three points of the match against the Federer serve, but the eight-time Wimbledon champion then gets himself going and fights back, with the forehand already looking masterful.

Cracking atmosphere under the roof.
Plenty of Fed Heads dotted around - with RF logo caps and Swiss flagged tees, you know the type - although not as many as usual. It’s an international band of supporters, with more worldwide branches than Manchester United.
Mannarino has caused some consternation among those Federer fans with this start though.
What's going on here? Mannarino with three break points straight out of the gate.
Kerber 6-4 Stojanovic
Meanwhile, 2018 champion Angelique Kerber has overcome a bit of a wobble to take the first set against Nina Stojanovic.
Kerber, who won the title on Homburg in the build-up to Wimbledon, trailed 3-0 before reeling off five straight games.
She's just served it out to love to move within touching distance of a place in the second round.
As birthday presents go, playing Roger Federer on Centre Court at Wimbledon is not a bad one.
Happy 33rd birthday to Adrian Mannarino. Federer to serve.

Guess who’s back? Roger!
Raucous cheers from the Centre Court crowd as Federer and Mannarino enter the building.
Last time the Swiss great was on the hallowed turf was that epic 2019 final.
Plenty would have wondered if we’d see him again here in SW19, especially after his injury troubles.
He’s here so let’s savour it.
Federer v Mannarino
The eight-time champion is back, and eyeing a ninth Wimbledon title.
“I'm ready, I'm excited, I'm pumped up. I know I can do so much better,” said Roger Federer.
“I think I've got to take the positives out of these past few weeks, that I'm actually here at Wimbledon right now and I have a chance.
“I know if I get rolling, I get into the second week, which is the goal here right now, that I get stronger and stronger as every match goes by. I believe it's very much possible.”
What a reception as Roger Federer steps out on Centre Court as loads of fans desperately try to get a snap of him on their phones.
Federer v Mannarino
With no Rafael Nadal at the All England Club this summer, there is a chance for Roger Federer to move clear once more in the race for the most men's Grand Slam titles... there's just the small matter of Novak Djokovic wanting to make it a three-way tie at the top.
Roger Federer, at 39, may just be inspired by the performance of 41-year-old Venus Williams earlier today.
Watch the best shots as the five-time Wimbledon singles champion defeated Romania's Mihaela Buzarnescu 7-5 4-6 6-3 to reach the second round.
