But Federer is never down for long, sending down an ace in a hold to 15, although now Hurkacz is serving for the set.

Federer has not found his range so far at all.

Some unforced errors from Federer, sending a forehand wide and a backhand long and Hurkacz backs up the break by holding in the seventh.

He's one game away from the first set and he's done a good job of silencing the Federer fans, of which there are thousands.

A few interesting decisions by Federer in that last service game that didn't go his way. He's not quite firing on all cylinders just yet.

At 6ft 5in, Hurkacz is a tough man to clear, Federer tries that when trying to fend off a break point, but Hurkacz slams it away for the break in the sixth game of set one.

Hurkacz had three break points on the Federer serve not too long ago, he's got another one now, 30-40.

A brilliant two-handed backhand passing shot from Hurkacz on the baseline gives him the opening point on the sixth game, with Federer serving. 0-15.

No emotional damage from Hurkacz after failing to take any of those three break points in the last game and he's quickly reset himself, taking the next service game to love.

This is the biggest win of his career. He got over the disappoointing third set and dominated the last two sets.

Khachanov had too many five-setters and full marks to Shapovalov who was the better player.
