    Berrettini 6-3 5-7 6-5 Auger-Aliassime*

Excellent from Felix Auger Aliassime to put Matteo Berrettini under pressure on his own serve and then make the Italian slap long. That's deuce, but he skids a forehand into the tape when presented with a chance from just inside the baseline. And Berrettini holds with some snappy forehand play.

    *Berrettini 6-3 5-7 5-5 Auger-Aliassime

Over to you then, Matteo Berrettini. But the Italian leaves too much on a drop shot and Felix Auger Aliassime snaffles it from close range.

The Canadian then lofts a lob slightly long and Berrettini whips down a quick serve, but Auger Aliassime is one superb retriever and just keeps getting the ball back. 30-30.

Two and a quarter hours into this one now, as Felix Auger Aliassime rattles down a string of snappy serves to move to 40-0 before holding to love with a smart drive volley. Looking sharp.

Harriet Dart and Joe Salisbury's mixed doubles match has gone into a deciding set after they lost a tie-break.

Berrettini is annoyed at himself as a slack forehand takes Auger-Aliassime to 40-15, before the Canadian 16th seed takes the game with a fizzing serve.

We reach 4-4. Tense moments ahead.

    Berrettini 6-3 5-7 4-3 Auger-Aliassime*

The third set rumbles on as Matteo Berrettini hits back with his own worry-free service game.

It's finely poised on Court One.

    *Berrettini 6-3 5-7 3-3 Auger-Aliassime

Auger-Aliassime takes his time to let the wind die down a little before hammering a couple of serves for a comfortable hold without response.

The 20-year-old is getting better as this match goes on.

  13. Dart & Salisbury poisedpublished at 19:02 British Summer Time 7 July 2021

    Salisbury/Dart 6-3 6-6 Marach/Kichenok

British duo Harriet Dart and Joe Salisbury have fought back from 3-1 down in the second set against Austrian Oliver Marach and Lyudmyla Kichenok of Ukraine to force a tie-break.

Dart and Salisbury had been serving for the match at 6-5 following a break but their opponents immediately responded with a break of their own.

  14. Berrettini holdspublished at 19:01 British Summer Time 7 July 2021

    Berrettini 6-3 5-7 3-2 Auger-Aliassime*

Berrettini, not for the first time and almost certainly not the last, moves himself away from trouble with another big serve for 40-30.

But Auger-Aliassime has a grip on the Italian's serve now, and is rewarded for getting the ball back in play. Deuce.

He can't capitalise from there, though, and a miss ends his hopes of a first break in this set.

    Berrettini 6-3 5-7 2-1 Auger-Aliassime*

After a dominant start by Matteo Berrettini, there's very little to separate the world number nine and 19 on Court One after almost two hours of play.

Berrettini takes the first point on Auger-Aliassime's serve as the Canadian is unable to get enough whip on a return.

  20. Berrettini holdspublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 7 July 2021

    Berrettini 6-3 5-7 2-1 Auger-Aliassime*

Auger-Aliassime attacks the Berrettini serve, setting up two break points, but a 135mph serve saves the first.

The Canadian does well to even get a racquet to the next one, his attempted return sailing long.

The Italian completes his own turnaround with a sixth ace of the contest.
