Murray's intent and aggression and the fact he was able to execute it so consistently against a player of this calibre is impressive.

    What an outstanding performance.

"He's played a fantastic set of tennis. It's the best set of tennis I've seen him play for a long time.

"He's had glimpses through the week and dropped off a couple of times. This is the most consistent set he's played at this level for quite a while.

"He naturally ups his level the more he knows he's playing a good player."

    Evans 1-5 Murray*

Evans looks fired up now. He's running around all over the place but it's no good as he send the ball into the net.

"Slow, slow!" Evans screams at himself as he hits a forehand long. He looks on the brink of a full-on meltdown. Anyway, Murray is two points away from winning the set.

That reaction from Evans shows that this tournament is being treated as far more than an exhibition by the players.

Evans is definitely getting up the court a bit more, he's at the baseline and at the net, getting on top of the points a bit more on his serve.

    *Evans 1-4 Murray

Murray goes ahead as Evans steps back up to serve, but the British number one brings him up to the net and forces a forehand error to even things out. 30-30.

Vintage Andy Murray! He's obviously been a little bit wound up by the banter from the other players that he can only play one way.

  19. 'Being aggressive isn't my game style, apparently" - Murraypublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 27 June 2020

    *Evans 1-4 Murray

Murray was a bit salty about the other players having said he's not aggressive on court. He said, in his usual very dry manner, on Amazon Prime:

"All the guys have been saying that's not really my game style. I was just trying to serve well at the beginning. Being aggressive isn't my game style, I like to play really far behind the baseline and hack apparently."
