Good hold the American. Giron came under a little bit of pressure but fends off Evans to make it 4-1.

Strong start from Romania's two-time major champion Simona Halep in her second-round match against Slovakia's Kristina Kucova.

After breaking serve in the first game, 12th seed Halep wraps up the first set in little over half an hour.

Having previously lost their three career meetings, Muguruza won 6-4 6-2 to reach the last 32 without dropping a set.

When she plays like this, the 2016 French Open champion and 2017 Wimbledon winner can beat anybody.
