    *Broady 0-1 Schwartzman

Liam Broady can take some encouragement from the fact diminutive Diego Schwartzman has a 4-9 record against left-handers in grand slams.

Although those figures are slightly skewed by six of the defeats coming against the greatest left-hander of them all, Rafael Nadal.

Schwartzman lost to another leftie, Jack Draper, at Queen's - but has held his opening service game to love here.

That's a very impressive first set indeed from Nick Kyrgios.

No fuss. No dramas. A second break of serve completes a rather pleasing start for the 2014 quarter-finalist.

The Australian is aiming to reach the third round at SW19 for the sixth time in eight appearances.

    Boulter v Pliskova

    Jonathan Jurejko
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

There could be a double celebration in one Wimbledon house tonight.

Katie Boulter will try to earn one of the biggest wins of her career on Centre Court and then hopes to catch some of her boyfriend Alex de Minaur's match against Britain's Jack Draper on Court One.

On their relationship, she says: "We spend a lot of time together during these times and we cherish the ones where we can actually be in the same place at the same time.

"Ultimately we both travel 30 weeks of the year. We don't always get a chance to see each other."

Boulter says the 19th men's seed work ethic and dedication to the sport is an inspiration for her.

"He is the epitome of a fighter and someone that goes out and gives their all every single day. It really helps me because I can push myself. He helps me do that. I'm a very lucky girl."

Ons Jabeur columnImage source, BBC Sport

WTA world number two Ons Jabeur has long been a trailblazer for Tunisian, Arab and African women - and is enjoying every second of it.

In her latest BBC Sport column at Wimbledon, she discusses how she hopes to help others believe they too can break down barriers to achieve success and describes the attention she gets back home.

People huddled around TVs in cafes to watch her matches, waving while they're driving and mobbing her while she's shopping.

"My husband, Karim, jokes he doesn't want to go to the shopping mall with me anymore because it gets too busy with people coming up to me. But I love it," she says.

    *Krajinovic 2-5 Kyrgios

    Harry Poole
    BBC Sport at Wimbledon

This has been very comfortable for Nick Kyrgios so far, with no need for any extras.

Remarkably he's yet to lose a single point in his four service games and he cruises into a 5-2 lead.

It's all a bit, dare I say, normal...

  10. Broady next up on Court Threepublished at 13:02 British Summer Time 30 June 2022

    Liam Broady v Diego Schwartzman

More British interest up next on Court Three as Liam Broady takes on Argentina's 12th seed and clay-court specialist Diego Schwartzman.

The two players are no strangers to each other, having met in this very round at SW19 last year when Broady, now ranked 132nd in the world, won the first set but Schwartzman triumphed in four 4-6 6-2 6-1 6-4.

“I remember it being a real battle, even though we were on the grass," Broady said, after coming through a gruelling five-setter against Lukas Klein in round one.

"Now I kind of have a better idea what he’s about. I’d like to think I’m a better player than I was 12 months ago. I mean, if there’s a surface to play him on, it’s definitely the grass!”

    Gray 3-6 6-7 (3-7) 2-4 Fritz*

The warning lights are on for Alastair Gray. That's four games in a row for Taylor Fritz and if he holds his serve twice then he'll advance.

Gray has done so well today and will have learned so much from the experience but he's now facing the exit.

A commanding performance from Spain's Paula Badosa out on Court Two, seeing off Romania's Irina Bara 6-2 6-2.

The fourth seed, who reached the fourth round last year, will face two-time champion Petra Kvitova next.

What a match that promises to be.

    Bogdan 1-6 6-7 (5-7) Kvitova

Petra Kvitova charges into a 3-1 lead in the tie-break but Ana Bogdan battles back to 3-3, winning the last point with a crunching winner down the line.

But there's that big serve again, Kvitova battering an ace - her 10th - into the corner that produces a big roar from the 25th seed.

And she puts a full swing on a groundstroke from behind the baseline to move 5-3 up, but again Bogdan refuses to relent!

Another big serve from Kvitova, however, bags her a second match point, and this time she converts!

It's all over. What a battle that turned out to be. The 2011 and 2014 champion is through.

    "You can't challenge that!"

A late challenge from Krajinovic precedes the first interaction between Kyrgios and the umpire, but the Serb's shot is out anyway and Kyrgios claims an early break of serve.

It's backed up emphatically. Another love hold. Kyrgios has come out firing.

What on earth will Nick Kyrgios have in store for us today?

I’ve taken the short journey from court 12 to court two, where the unpredictable Australian is taking on Serb Filip Krajinovic in round two.

His opener against Britain’s Paul Jubb had a bit of everything - the entertaining and the ugly.

So far, he’s accidentally struck Krajinovic with a ball in the warm up, before opening with a cheeky drop shot winner and a love hold.

    *Gray 3-6 6-7 (3-7) 1-0 Fritz

Good mental strength shown from Alastair Gray who is not sulking after losing that second set via a tie-break when he had been 5-2 ahead in games and serving for the set.

It's a loose service game from the American and he loops a forehand from the baseline long to give the Briton the break.
