Game recognises game as they say.

England footballer Jack Grealish was among those to congratulate Liam Broady on his magnificent victory over Diego Schwartzman and will be tuned in to today's match.

Broady is an avid Manchester City fan and he marked his win over Schwartzman by mimicking Blues star Grealish's goal celebration.

If he created one of the biggest sporting shocks ever by winning Wimbledon, sure the Stockport lad would get an open top bus parade down Manchester's Deansgate.

And he'd definitely be partying on the top deck like Grealish...

    De Minaur v Broady

So, Katie Boulter couldn't join Cam Norrie and Heather Watson to make it three Brits in round four, but how will Liam Broady fare?

The 28-year-old British number five battled past 12th seed Diego Schwartzman on Thursday, to reach the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time.

Broady's next test is against Australia's Alex de Minaur - Boulter's boyfriend, who beat another Brit - big-hitting Jack Draper - last time out.

They are first on Court One today, at 13:00 BST.

That is about as dominant a display as you’ll see at SW19 today.

Katie Boulter said she was hoping to take inspiration from Leicester City’s 2016 Premier League title win and Emma Raducanu’s US Open victory to fuel a deep run this year at Wimbledon.

Unfortunately, her hopes of a first major fourth-round appearance met a rather abrupt end there.

Harmony Tan is looking very, very strong indeed. It’s Coco Gauff or Amanda Anisimova for her next.

A bewitching performance from Harmony Tan. She didn't put a foot wrong. Katie Boulter didn't know if she was coming or going. She has gone out but Harmony Tan - watch out - people have got to work out how they can beat her.

Harmony Tan speaking on court after her victory:

"No I don't believe it yet - if I sleep a little bit, tomorrow maybe I will believe it, but it's amazing.

"I think I like grass, I never play on this court but I like to play with slice and volley and everything with my game so I'm really happy.

"It was really emotional for the first round against Serena [Williams] and after it was just playing match by match and today was really good tennis. I don't know why but it depends on the day!"

Another fantastic performance from the world number 115.

    Tan 6-1 6-1 Boulter

The crowd on No.2 court try to give Katie Boulter a boost as she wins the first point, but Harmony Tan responds to that with the most perfectly placed forehand into the corner. Boulter perhaps thought that was going out - I did!

The next two points are shared, before Tan moves to match point on Boulter's serve with another backhand that the Brit can't meet. A double fault brings the match to an end.

Harmony Tan is through to the fourth round.

Tan records her fourth ace of the day before Boulter pulls the peak of her cap over her eyes after finding the net. What must she be thinking right now?

Tan breezes to 40-0 and then completes the love hold with a backhand that Boulter can't muster the energy to try and meet. Boulter will serve to try and stay in the match.

This is tough for Katie Boulter. Harmony Tan has been everywhere and that break just about sums it all up.

A delightful rally, featuring an audacious between-the-legs shot from the baseline by Tan, before the French player overpowers the home favourite to close in on victory.

The crowd cheer the efforts of both players, before rallying behind Boulter once again. It's a long, long way back from here.

Harmony Tan is just too good. She's so quick, goes from defence out of one corner and sprints across straight into attack.

  20. Tan double break uppublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 2 July 2022

    *Tan 6-1 4-1 Boulter

A measured Tan steals the first two points of Boulter's serve, before flinging a lovely forehand into the corner and out of the reach of a sprinting Boulter to earn herself three break points.

She can't convert the first, scooping a backhand almost into the crowd, nor the second as she fails to return a Boulter serve. But she does capitalise on the third, despite some entertaining play between the two that featured another Tan 'tweener and brilliant reactions at the net from Boulter.
