  1. Jabeur holdspublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Jabeur 3-1 Maria*

Jabeur is being so crafty, bringing Maria forwards then delicately tapping the ball cross-court to go 40-30 up.

Maria decides to attack things head on instead, pinning Jabeur in the corner with powerful shots and forcing an error to bring up deuce.

Nevertheless, the German can't capitalise and Jabeur backs up her break.

    Eek.

Ons Jabeur rushes into her service game and before you know it she's 0-30 down.

Tajana Maria hits a forehand long, then an excellent drop-shot from Jabeur gets her back to 30-30.

Ons Jabeur is the huge favourite so it will take a while for her to settle. But getting a break early on in the set usually helps settle the nerves a little.

Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram have taken the first set in their men's doubles semi-final. The Briton was at the net to volley the winner and it's fair to say this is a very happy Court One, which is pretty full for this match.

  5. Game and first set - Ram/Salisburypublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Ram/Salisbury 6-3 Ebden/Purcell

A dream start for top seeds Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram in the men's doubles semis on Court One.

The British/American pair consolidate that break of serve midway through the opening set, saving a break point in the following game and going on to serve the set out.

A nice backhand volley at the net from Brit Salisbury seals the deal after Ram's serve is taken to deuce in the ninth game.

    *Jabeur 2-1 Maria

    There it is.

It took five break points, but Jabeur finally gets there as Maria's backhand goes into the net.

It's an early lead for the third seed. (Accidental rhyme).

  7. Break point Jabeurpublished at 13:52 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Jabeur 1-1 Maria*

On Jabeur definitely seems to have the upper hand on Centre Court, creating another break point.

But again the Tunisian can't make it work.

She gets another chance after a double fault from Tatjana Maria.

You can't underestimate what a big moment this is for both players. Playing on Centre Court when you've not done it before there will definitely be some nerves

Anyone who has played here has special memories of it.

  9. Jabeur holdspublished at 13:48 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Jabeur 1-1 Maria*

It's a more straightforward service game for third seed Ons Jabeur.

The Tunisian falters slightly with a couple of mishits to bring up 40-30, then comes out on top of a lengthy rally to get her hold.

  10. Hewett beats Reidpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Alfie Hewett has done it!

The world number two and five-time Grand Slam singles champion clinches his third match point, but first on his serve, to win 6-2 3-6 6-4.

He'll face Gustavo Fernandez or Frenchman Nicolas Peifer for a place in the final.

After a tight and tense eight minutes, Maria finally gets over the line.

Both players take a sip of water as they pass their chairs.

    Thirsty work already.

Slightly edgy start from both players in this first game.

Each have already tried to use their slice to cut open the other's defence, but we've seen errors from each racquet.

No surprises here - we're going to see a lot of slices from both back hand sides and we'll see some drop shots and lobs. There's definitely going to be a bit of everything.

  18. Break point Jabeurpublished at 13:41 British Summer Time 7 July 2022

    Jabeur 0-0 Maria*

Delicate touches on both sides of the net - it's all very slicey so far.

Tatjana Maria pounces on a wayward one from Ons Jabeur to bring up game point, but flounders at the net on the next one and it's back to deuce.

A smart challenge from Jabeur brings up another break point.
