    Djokovic 2-6 1-0 Norrie*

Novak Djokovic closes in to the net to volley in for 30-15, before Cam Norrie slices a backhand into the net.

A big point - but Norrie deals with it superbly, correcting his last miss by slicing an angled backhand volley beyond reach. Game point.

Always wear a hat in the sun, my mum tells me.

Novak Djokovic thinks that is a good idea, too.

The defending champ is now wearing a white cap, I'd imagine to stop him being blinded by the sun, as he tries to turn this semi-final around.

    Djokovic 2-6 1-0 Norrie*

Novak Djokovic has won more Grand Slams than Cameron Norrie has entered.

Regardless of the stats, the Briton is making a good go at upsetting the odds so far...

    Djokovic 2-6 1-0 Norrie*

Novak Djokovic has popped a cap on for the second set. Will it be the change that inspires a comeback?

Some fine serving helps the Serb ease into a 40-0 lead and Cam Norrie nets to hand over the game.

  5. Hewett breaks on Court Onepublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 8 July 2022

    Fernandez 6-2 6-7 (3-7) 4-4 Hewett*

Two brilliant backhand returns and an exquisite lob at the net give Alfie Hewett two break-back points against Gustavo Fernandez over on Court One.

But he wastes both, dumping one return into the net and ballooning another well long. Hewett earns another chance but again airs a return.

The fourth one is the charm! A delicious backhand return - and we're back on serve as the Briton bids to book a place in his first Wimbledon wheelchair singles final.

What an incredible start from Cameron Norrie.

He looks ice cool out in the heat on Centre Court, unlike an uncomfortable Novak Djokovic.

We've seen 12 unforced errors from the defending champion, who has the entire crowd against him.

The top seed will serve first in set two...

    Another ace! Unbelievable.

Cam Norrie gives his biggest fist pump of the day so far, understandably.

He is a third of the way to a first Grand Slam final in his home major.

    Still one set point left.

Norrie follows that double fault with... an ACE.

    Two set points.

    Djokovic 2-5 Norrie*

Novak Djokovic gives his opponent a helping hand, hitting a backhand wide to put Norrie 15-0 up.

The net cord shows which side it's on as Djokovic hits a forehand into it. It allows the ball to teeter before slapping it back down on the defending champion's side. 30-0.

A double fault then makes it 30-15.

Blimey. Who wrote this script? Even Sam Mendes, sitting in the Royal Box, probably wouldn't have even dared.

The majority of people on Centre Court leaps to their feet when Norrie breaks again.

Union Jacks and Saltires have been unfurled and are fluttering in the light SW19 breeze.

Here we go. Cam Norrie steps up to serve.

He looked nervy at times in his quarter-final against David Goffin but there has been no sign of that today.

Serving for the set should test that.

I'm totally flabbergasted to see what I'm seeing so far - unheard of from Djokovic. He looks weary from playing but he had two days off. It's unbelievable that Norrie is making it look so easy.

Cameron Norrie has already taken more games off Novak Djokovic than he did in their only previous career meeting.

At the 2021 ATP Finals, he lost 6-2 6-1 in little over an hour.

We spent lots of time talking about whether Norrie would settle down and it's Djokovic who hasn't found his rhythm. So many unforced errors on the forehand - Norrie has got to look to take advantage.

    Again?!

Djokovic tries to remind Norrie what's what with an opening ace, but then slaps a forehand into the net for 15-15.

The Serb then completely mishits his forehand and it goes way wide. Djokovic had hit 10 unforced errors and that will be the 11th.

Norrie then comes to the net and gets himself another two break points.

Solid serving sees him claim a straightforward hold. What a start from the Brit.

  20. Hewett still a break downpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 8 July 2022

    *Fernandez 6-2 6-7 (3-7) 4-3 Hewett

Alfie Hewett is refusing to give in on Court One in the men's wheelchair singles semis.

He remains a break of serve down to Gustavo Fernandez - but the Briton was 5-1 down in the second set and won that on a tie-break so he won't be panicking yet.
