Manuel Guinard will serve to get this first-round match under way at long last.
Let's go.
Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 2-0 Parry*
A third break point opportunity passes by for Parry, who then produces a couple of misses and Krejcikova finally makes it out of a marathon game with her advantage safely intact.
Norrie v Guinard
British men's number one Cameron Norrie will hope to transfer his fine ATP Tour form into a deep Grand Slam run in Paris.
The 26-year-old, seeded 10th in the men's draw, is the highest-ranked British singles player at the French Open.
He won his fourth ATP title - and first on clay - in the Lyon Open final last week, having also lost to Rafael Nadal in the Acapulco final.
Those four ATP titles have come in the space of just 10 months, and Norrie will go into today's rain-delayed match against France's Manuel Guinard full of confidence.
Norrie v Guinard
Cameron Norrie is out on court!
His opponent, Frenchman Manuel Guinard, has got his own little fanclub in the stands.
*Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 1-0 Parry
A timely forehand winner from Krejcikova, but the world number two can't get free of trouble here.
Another break point for Parry... Nope, deuce again.
*Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 1-0 Parry
An ace brings Krejcikova closer to safety, but the Czech misses the line and we return to deuce.
Wow, a sixth double fault for Krejcikova - and a third in this game alone - gives Parry break point.
*Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 1-0 Parry
A frustrating miss for Parry temporarily lets Krejcikova off the hook, but the teenager strikes back with a huge forehand. Deuce.
*Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 1-0 Parry
Not an ideal start for Krejcikova, who double-faults for the fourth time as she looks to consolidate the break.
Another double fault, and the crowd begin to sense an opening for Parry at 30-30.
Norrie v Guinard
The sweepers are doing their thing on Cameron Norrie's court - and the crowds are beginning to gather...
*Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 1-0 Parry
Krejcikova can't take her first break opportunity, but sets up another with a delightful forehand that hints at a return to her first-set levels.
Again, the world number two is hauled back to deuce by the plucky Parry, however Krejcikova gets a third shot... Taken!
The Czech ends Parry's six-game winning run to take an early advantage in the third.
Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 0-0 Parry*
Parry gets play back under way as she eyes a memorable comeback victory over the defending champion.
But Krejcikova appears to have returned with renewed determination and reaches break point...
Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 0-0 Parry*
We have movement on the outside courts!
It looks as though play could be getting under way again shortly.
British number one Cameron Norrie is among those patiently waiting to start around the grounds.
On Court Philippe Chatrier, we've been waiting for Barbora Krejcikova to return to the court - and after a lengthy break she's greeted by boos from the crowd.

I don't think there is going to be a U-turn by any of the governing bodies or Wimbledon.
Every player I have spoken to (and not just Brits) is going to play [at the Championships].
Naomi Osaka says she is not sure if she will play Wimbledon after ranking points were stripped from the event.
The move by the ATP and WTA came in response to Wimbledon banning Russian and Belarusian players.
Former world number one Osaka did not criticise the decision but said earning ranking points was a huge motivation.
"The intention of this measure was good, but the execution is all over the place," she told a news conference.
I would say the decision is kind of affecting my mentality going into grass - I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to go there.
"I would love to go just to get some experience on the grass court, but at the same time I'm the type of player that gets motivated by seeing my ranking go up."
Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 0-0 Parry*

I don't think we're seeing the maximum effort from Krejcikova right now.
She has just fallen apart in front of our eyes.
Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 0-0 Parry*
A dizzying momentum swing.
Reigning champion Barbora Krejcikova won eight of the first nine games in this match and looked set to breeze into round two after a swift first set.
But that is now six consecutive games from the resurgent Parry, whose every success is being celebrated by the increasingly involved home crowd.
Krejcikova 6-1 2-6 0-0 Parry*
Krejcikova digs in to save two of the set points - but the Czech then gifts Parry the third with a double fault.
We're all level on Philippe Chatrier!
*Krejcikova 6-1 2-5 Parry
A limp return into the net from Krejcikova, who is beginning to look very concerned indeed. Where has this come from?
Another miss - and three set points for Parry.
*Krejcikova 6-1 2-5 Parry
And now, defending champion Barbora Krejcikova must serve to stay in contention in the second set.
A whopping forehand from Parry. 0-15.

Parry has just decided to add extra height. The margins in which Krejcikova is missing - she did not clip the top of the net - that was right at the bottom.
