Rafa Nadal has gone a break up in the third set, and it was a break that was pretty much gifted to him by Rinky Hijikata.
Nadal raced to a 40-0 lead, giving him three break points, and he wrapped it up on the second as Hijikata double-faulted for a second time today.

If Raducanu does survive the match - she fed off and enjoyed the crowd last year but I don't know if she doesn't want to do it - she's just not as animated with them this year.

Out of nowhere she finds another gear, firing in a backhand for break point before a deadly drop shot finds Raducanu flat-footed. What a response.

I feel like Raducanu is riding the wave - staying steady mentally but maybe adding in a few more of those high balls.
She has kept her patience and kept her composure not to panic.

The momentum has well and truly swung in Emma Raducanu's favour now.
The Briton goes after her opponent to force the final error for a 3-1 lead but, as improved as Raducanu has been over recent games, that one was all about Cornet's level dipping.

That's the way to seal the hold! An ace wraps up a second game in quick succession for the defending champion to turn a must-win set in her favour.

After a short wait for the roof to be closed on Arthur Ashe, there's no messing about from Rafa Nadal at the start of the third set as he bags a love hold.
But anything Nadal can do, Rinky Hijikata can do too, sealing a love hold for himself in the very next game and greeting it with a fist pump.

It's all square once again on Arthur Ashe, as Rafa Nadal breaks Rinky Hijikata's serve for a second time and with it, wraps up the second set.
Hijikata hit 12 unforced errors in that set as he hit a bit of a mental block, Nadal capitalising on that to pull himself level in this tie.
He celebrates the set win with a hop, skip, a fist pump and a "VAMOSSSSSS".
