Oh my. Andy Murray just stuck Arthur Ashe into a time machine and took us all back seven years or so.

A superb running backhand winner, down the line, played from about three inches off the court surface, helps the Scot bring up deuce.

Earlier in the game, Andy Murray trained some fire onto the Berrettini backhand with some success.

We've seen a lot of variety from Murray. He is on the front foot, looking to be the aggressor, and he's conserved energy in the first two rounds. Berrettini, meanwhile, hasn't got the forehand firing yet.

Andy Murray holds serve to love and he has been given a leg-up from Matteo Berrettini who has coughed up nine unforced errors already in the match.

Berrettini is really still to get things motoring. This set could be the one for Murray to make hay.

Jabeur has never gone beyond the third round at Flushing Meadows before. She'll have to do it the hard way.
