This is just a fight to the bitter end now with any energy either player has left.

Murray has enough for another hold, at least.

Harry: That metal hip might have kickstarted Murray's transition into a robot. Unbelievable.

Sukh: Incredible stuff from both players. Complete kudos to Kokkinakis for his efforts here.

KJ: Was Andy Murray really not allowed a bathroom break? Ridiculous given the late hour and how long they have been playing. Easier for boys to go in a bottle! Strategically placed towel at the next change of ends!

Gill:I need a strong cup of tea. I've been needing a cup of tea for a couple of hours now but daren't leave the room.

Go now Gill, before this set gets any more interesting!

    *Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 0-1 Kokkinakis

For anyone just joining us, Andy Murray is bidding to reach the Australian Open third round for the first time in six years.

The former world number one is playing home hope and current world number 159 Thanasi Kokkinakis - whose talent belies his ranking.

Murray already came through a five-set match against Matteo Berrettini to reach this stage, but his metal hip is holding up well.

The five-time finalist in Melbourne was two sets down but has fought back in trademark fashion to get us here.

Thanasi Kokkinakis is certainly not giving in.

Andy Murray finds the net and the Australian opens the deciding set with a hold of serve.

I felt for the last two sets Murray was getting stronger physically and that Kokkinakis was going into his shell.

I was starting to doubt that he believes he could beat Andy Murray - and I am not convinced.

While all of the plaudits, of course, go to Murray and Kokkinakis for their super-human efforts, you also have to admire those hundreds of fans who are still egging the players on.

All the shouts of support - for both players - are keeping the adrenalin pumping.

Still a heck of a noise inside Margaret Court Arena. Incredible effort all round.

There might be some bleary eyes in Melbourne offices a little later this morning.

Back when Kokkinakis was two sets up (aka two years ago) I guaged belief in Murray.

Over 3,000 of you thought we'd get to this point - and he has proved you right. Should have known.

You just cannot keep this man down. 3am in the morning and Andy Murray comes from two sets to love down.

There is a limit on the number of toilet breaks you can have. Murray makes a fair point to the umpire.

It has just hit 3am in Melbourne and Murray is not happy, as many of us would not be

He has already taken his toilet break, meaning he can't go again. Understandably, he's not pleased about that.

    Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-5) 6-3 0-0 Kokkinakis*

    Of course he did!

An ace down the middle and we're carrying on. But Murray has some things to say to the umpire about the time.

    *Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-5) 5-3 Kokkinakis

    So, so close.

Kokkinakis looks as if he has hit a huge forehand return. But it was a bit too big and lands out.

    Set point.

Back at deuce. Too many nerves and we might still have another set to go.

Murray wags his finger as if to say 'no chance am I letting you have this'.

    *Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-5) 5-3 Kokkinakis

He gets another one and Margaret Court erupts!

A cross-court backhand has too much for Murray and he can only respond into the net.

    *Murray 4-6 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-5) 5-3 Kokkinakis

This cannot be enjoyable watching for Murray's mum Judy.

She shakes her head after he puts her through the wringer, teetering on the edge in the point before finally closing it out with a backhand winner. Deuce.

Not now Murray... not when everything was going so well.

One backhand lands just on the baseline, but he doesn't quite get behind the next one and it sails into the net.

With any other player, you would never have seen a fifth set coming in this match.

But this is Andy Murray. Surely he's doing it now.

Kokkinakis swings a lovely backhand winner and an even lovelier serve to get himself to 40-30.

An ace down the middle wraps it up.

Murray will serve to take it to a fifth set next.
