We'll be honest - the weather forecast for SW19 is not brilliant for Tuesday, the second day of Wimbledon 2023.

But even if the rain falls, we have a roof on Centre and a roof on Court One so we won't be starved of play.

Top seed Carlos Alcaraz begins his Wimbledon campaign on Court One, taking on France's Jeremy Chardy.

The Spaniard reclaimed the world number one spot with his win at Queen's last month, his first title on grass.

In the women's singles Ons Jabeur, finalist in 2022, is up against Magdalena Frech of Poland.

And day two on Court One finishes with British number one Cameron Norrie taking on world number 106 Tomas Machac of Czech Republic.

Norrie reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon last year.

Sir Andy Murray gets his Wimbledon campaign under way tomorrow, playing on Centre Court against fellow Brit Ryan Peniston.

Murray was unable to get a seeding for this year's competition, but he has avoided the big-hitters in the first round.

British number seven Peniston is playing in just his second ever Wimbledon main draw match.

Centre Court action will begin with reigning women's champion and third seed Elena Rybakina taking on American Shelby Rogers.

We also have second seed Aryna Sabalenka up against Panna Udvardy of Hungary.

Former British number one Johanna Konta, speaking to BBC Sport after world number one Iga Swiatek's first-round win:

"She's so professional with how she goes about her business and she showcased that. She problem-solved where she needed to and whenever she goes through a little period of losing focus or direction, she bounces back so quickly.

"She's not been on tour that long and she's a four-time Grand Slam champion, so I think her results in coming into the second round and winning this event will come. She's so hungry to get better."

This is Caroline Garcia's 10th singles campaign at Wimbledon - she's lost in the first round on four previous occasions, but the number five seed is safely through to the second round in 2023 courtesy of a straight-set win over Katie Volynets.

Liam Broady's love affair with Wimbledon continues - he's had some great results at SW19 down the years and he did it again today, beating Constant Lestienne in straight sets.

It's fourth seed and French Open finalist Casper Ruud up next for the Brit.

Great Britain's Jodie Burrage beat Caty McNally to win a main-draw match at Wimbledon for the first time - leading to some emotional scenes on Court Three.

The women's world number one, Iga Swiatek, looked in ominous form as she saw off China's Zhu Lin on Court One.

Right, let's remind ourselves of the best action from day one before looking ahead to tomorrow.

Italian Jannik Sinner breaks again. It's been one-way traffic on Centre Court and now the eighth seed will serve for the match.

And Sinner converts, forcing Cerundolo out wide and the Argentine can't return a deep forehand.

Jannik Sinner's looking to wrap this match up quickly. He pounces on a second serve but Juan Manuel Cerundolo gets lucky with a shot which flicks up off the net and gets the Italian in a twist.

Next point though, and Sinner forces an error to bring up his first break point of the set. 30-40
