  1. Kvitova breakspublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    *Kvitova 6-3 2-1 Stevanovic

    Is that the decisive blow?

Petra Kvitova is in fine form today and she's now taken charge of the second set against Natalija Stevanovic, breaking at the second opportunity with a terrific return.

Will she run away with this as she did in the first set?

  2. Game and first set - Haddad Maiapublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    Haddad Maia 6-2 Cirstea

Brazil's Beatriz Haddad Maia has come out firing on court three, winning an opening set that featured four breaks of serve - three for the 13th seed and one for opponent Sorana Cirstea, of Romania.

The winner of that one will face either defending champion Elena Rybakina or Katie Boulter - the sole British representative remaining in the men's or women's singles draws - in the last 16.

Boulter and Rybakina are last up on Centre Court tonight, remember.

Coming to Wimbledon is an amazing experience - so you want to tell everyone about it.

But if you don’t fancy posting selfies on social media, you can go old school and write a mesage and send a postcard (for free and to anywhere you like).

Stamp on over to the fan zone at the back of court two to catch the last post.

  4. Kvitova holds servepublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    Kvitova 6-3 1-1 Stevanovic*

Venus Williams was the only player in this year’s women's draw with more grass-court match wins than Petra Kvitova, who is 73- 22 on grass.

That's after the Czech won her 31st career singles title at Berlin prior to this year's Wimbledon.

She's certainly a threat, and she could meet last year's runner-up Ons Jabeur in the fourth round next.

First she has to get past Natalija Stevanovic, who manages to reach deuce, but some excellent serving takes Kvitova to safety.

  5. Stevanovic holds at start of second setpublished at 11:54 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    *Kvitova 6-3 0-1 Stevanovic

That's the start Natalija Stevanovic needed if she is to get herself back into this match.

Petra Kvitova puffs out her cheeks in frustration as she's unable to find any way through in this game, despite a couple of powerful winners taking her to 40-30.

Welcome to day six of Wimbledon with 48 players still dreaming of winning their singles competition.

There are 24 men left in and 24 women remaining. Eight men and eight women have already booked their places in the last-16 with the rest playing their third-round matches today.

Of the 48 players still in, 24 different countries are represented with Russia, whose players were banned last year following the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, having the most from one nation with seven players (three men and four women) still in with a chance of lifting a trophy.

There are five Americans (three men, two women) and four from the Czech Republic (one man, three women), as well as three from Serbia and two apiece from Spain, Italy, Canada, Kazakhstan and Poland.

But for Great Britain, women's number one Katie Boulter is the last competitor flying the home flag and she faces third seed Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan later on.

However, for the British men, the singles tournament goes on without them after loses for Andy Murray, Cameron Norrie and Liam Broady on Friday.

  7. Game and first set - Leheckapublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    Lehecka 6-2 Paul

Possible minor shock brewing on court 12, where 16th seed Tommy Paul, of the United States, has just lost the first set to Jiri Lehecka - and lost it pretty emphatically too.

We say 'minor shock' because the Czech is ranked 36th in the world - he only narrowly missed out on a seeding here and already thrashed 18th seed Francisco Cerundolo, of Argentina, in straight sets in round two.

  8. Game and first set - Kvitovapublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    Kvitova 6-3 Stevanovic

No concerns for Petra Kvitova as she effortlessly serves out the first set.

That was an impressive turnaround, once she got going, and the two-time champ will feel confident of getting the job done against Natalija Stevanovic now after taking five of the past six games.

  9. Stevanovic saves set points to holdpublished at 11:45 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    *Kvitova 5-3 Stevanovic

Natalija Stevanovic punches the air after saving a second set point against her serve, but then a double fault undoes her good work.

Petra Kvitova has all the momentum right now. Huge, huge hitting from the 33-year-old sends Stevanovic scampering across the baseline to try and get anything on each shot.

After surviving a third set point, Stevanovic does well to hang in and stay in contention at 5-3.

This has quickly got away from Natalija Stevanovic after a positive start.

  18. Murray unsure if he has motivation to continuepublished at 11:20 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

Whenever Andy Murray waves goodbye to Centre Court these days, nobody can confidently predict if it will be the last time or not.

In the hours after another disheartening defeat, losing out to Greek fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round at Wimbledon, even the 36-year-old was unsure.

Asked if he was confident of returning next year, Murray said: "I don't know. Motivation is obviously a big thing.

"Continuing having early losses in tournaments like this doesn't necessarily help with that."

  19. Kvitova broken early against Stevanovicpublished at 11:19 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    Kvitova 1-2 Stevanovic*

Right, we're up and running on the outside courts.

We're going to focus our attention here on two-time women's singles champion Petra Kvitova's bid to reach the fourth round.

She's not off to the best start, however.

Put under early pressure by Natalija Stevanovic, she falls to a third break point to trail 2-1.

  20. What else is coming up today?published at 11:12 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

And over on Court One, more tasty match-ups.

That's followed by women's second seed Aryna Sabalenka's match against Anna Blinkova.

Then a huge third round clash in the men's draw sees 2021 finalist Matteo Berrettini come up against Alexander Zverev, seeded 19th, which could provide a blockbuster finale.
