Finland edge a 4-3 overtime Group A victory over Switzerland with Finnish captain Jenni Hiirikoski scoring the winner.

The four Group A teams are given a free pass to the knockout phase due to a new format that ensures the top nations advance.

The win means Finland will play the lower of the two Group B seeds, while Switzerland will face the Group B winners in the quarter-finals.

In the final Group A match, Canada and USA, who are already through to the semi-finals, play each other in what many consider to be a dress rehearsal for the final at 12:30 GMT.

Speaking about her performance afterwards, the 2006 Winter Olympic silver medallist said: "I feel like it has taken a lot to get to this point to be here in Sochi, I know I couldn't have done any more.

"I've been trying to get to grips with the two uphill curves, so I will do a lot of analysis again tonight and then tomorrow what will be, will be."

"A little opportunity missed to limit Canada to one. All good in the Canada camp but Great Britain need to tighten it up a bit in a few shots. It is something which Canada skip Jennifer Jones is always going to take advantage of. She had a 100% rate yesterday and is operating at 96% today."

The International Olympic Committee has lifted a 14-month suspension imposed on the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).

The IOA was banned from taking part in Olympic competition amid allegations of corrupt officials, but the appointment of Narayna Ramachandran as its new president on Monday has led to the national body being reinstated.

The decision to lift the ban during the ongoing Winter Games means India's three athletes in Sochi, who have been competing as independents under the Olympic flag, will now compete under the Indian flag, which will also be raised in the Olympic Village to mark the move.

It hasn't been the best of starts here and she's bound to be frustrated. There is some pressure on her - she doesn't want to keep giving opportunities to the Canadian skip'."

"He told me: 'I'm not 100%, some things are hurting. I am a little upset because I wanted to be given the opportunity to perform at 100% and I have to hope it doesn't hold me back too much. It's the same for a lot of competitors and I'm just going to give it all I can.'"
