As Gary Lineker indicates, Britain have become experts in skeleton.

British sliders have won medals at every Games since the sport's return to the Olympics in 2002 and in Yarnold and Amy Williams, Team GB can boast back-to-back Olympic champions.

But how did it happen? Why are Britain so good at the sport? This feature from BBC Sport's Rob Hodgetts attempts to find out why.

"Chemmy Alcott is racing in the Super-G and will be wearing bib 34. She told me her brother Rufus has flown over to watch her but other brother Alex has had to stay behind in the UK because he is on jury service.

She said on Twitter this morning:, external SG Day .... I love this event. The stage is set. No course practice. No time to think. No testing of the line. Let intuition rule and charge.

Britain's Chemmy Alcott is among the competitors and her story is one of the more remarkable of any athlete in Sochi.

Sochi 2014 will be 31-year-old Alcott's fourth Olympic Games and while her longevity is impressive enough, the injuries she has overcome are equally astounding.

Alcott has suffered 42 fractures since starting the sport and has only just returned to fitness in time after breaking her leg for a third time in August.

The Brit's best performance at a Games, was her 11th-placed finishes in the super-combined in 2010 and the downhill in 2006. Will there be a Hollywood finish to a remarkable story?
