A medal will be good news for the sport but for Elise Christie, as long as she performs the best she can, she will take confidence.

I just don't want her to make any mistakes because then she will be disappointed and that will affect her confidence going into the next races.

If she puts everything out there and gets second by taking a risk, she'd be happier than if she sat behind and just cruised into getting a safe Olympic medal.

  2. 'It's important she stays relaxed'published at 12:06 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2018

Former British short track speed skater on BBC TV

Elise Christie is looking good. She had a slight slip on the first corner in the semi-final and maybe panicked a little bit but she then cruised along smoothly behind her.

She has always been on the number one start lane but she will now have the fourth start position.

But she has such a good start so we need to pray she doesn't get squashed in. It's important she stays relaxed. She doesn't need to panic or take any unnecessary risks.

I'm certainly confident she will get a medal, gain from that and take confidence into the next distance.

    Who will win gold?

It’s more than just GB vs Korea - but this married couple, who met in Sheffield, have divided loyalties!

“Tonight could mean divorce,” they joke.

Elise Christie came back because she loves it. She didn't come back just to prove a point. You can only work so hard at a sport this dangerous if you love it. It's such a roller coaster.

There are five skaters in the final, not four. Does that mean a collision is more likely?

Elise Christie is fast off the start so hopefully she can get into second or third. Nobody will sit there and settle. It will be really interesting.
