Women's 500m
This is the only individual Olympic event in which Elise Christie is not the world champion, but she is the world record-holder, and she did win the final World Cup race in Seoul in November. Christie bypassed the recent European Championships to continue her preparations for the Winter Olympics, and also to rest a thigh injury.

Women's 500m
Marianne St Gelais was penalised in the first quarter-final earlier on - and she wasn't happy.
"If I knew (why) I would tell you. I had a good start. I haven't seen the image yet, I haven't seen the race yet. This is short track. Sometimes things go your way and sometimes they don't. However, that's done and I have to think about the other distances.
"It's disappointing for sure because I don't think I deserve this call. But short track is short track, so sometimes you have to deal with what is happening. I'm not happy with the decision. I don't think I deserved it."
Men's 1000m
Hungary's Shaolin Liu, Elise Christie's boyfriend, is safely through into the quarter finals. A good day all round so far.
Cross country men's sprint
Andrew Young was in cross country action earlier but did not make it into the top 30 to advance in the sprint.
He's struggled with injury and form this season and said afterwards: "I thought it went pretty well. But coming off a pretty bad season it was just another bad race. I don't really know is going on.
"I feel like I pushed hard and pushed well the whole way through the race but ended up a long way behind.
"That's just how it goes. I will keep on working and training for the next one."
We'll see him action on Friday in the 15km alongside his Team GB team-mate Andrew Musgrave.
