Eric Frenzel was Germany’s golden boy in Sochi and he didn’t disappoint. Carrying a six-second lead into the cross-country Frenzel skied away from Japan’s Akito Watabe in the final kilometre to take a first Olympic gold.
He now leads once again. Watabe right behind.

You can just about hear the stadium when you come into the final stretch but otherwise as an athlete, you're basically left to your own thoughts right now.
