    Curling: Women's round-robin GB 7-7 China

Over to you China. Bingyu Wang stays up top after letting go of the final delivery, crouching close to the ice as she watches on nervously.

Has it got the legs? Her team-mates all gather around the stone, furiously scrubbing the ice. It's slowing down... but limps over the line!

A point for China, honours even after 10 ends - and that means an extra end. A penalty shoot-out!

We're tense. You're tense. The British girls? Looking very relaxed. Smiles all round after Anna Sloan goes all Kingpin on us, channelling her inner Woody Harrelson to skittle the two stones occupying the house.

Everything to play for - two stones each remaining...

Scott Pierce: Curling in the morning and last thing at night. I could watch this more often than every four years. I have to give it a go!

Owain Connors: If someone could please open a curling rink somewhere in the mid-Wales/Marches area, I'd be eternally grateful...

It was looking a little dangerous before China played their last stone, but they missed it, and Eve Muirhead executed a simple stone for two well. But GB have to be careful here, they lead by one, but they don't have the hammer.

Anyone daring to call this one? Us neither. It's like Blur v Oasis, Country House v Roll With It. Who's going to edge it? No idea.

Michael: American here. I did a university exchange at Glasgow in 2010 and had few courses with Lauren Gray. She always asked me for assignments she missed while at curling practice. Now I'm watching her on the world’s largest stage. Small world.

Nailed it! Eve Muirhead swings one in left to right, the stone easing off the gas to sidle up nicely next to its British compatriot in the middle of the house. Snug.

That's another two points for the Brits, meaning they have nabbed a slender lead going into the final end...

A guard it is. Britain lay up their penultimate stone, plonking it an inch or three to the right (from the thrower's view) of China's guard.

China's final stone coming up... they go left for the old cannon shot... it's good, but it's not right.

Britain are assured of a point. Can they make it two?

Nooooo! Anna Sloan shrieks as her stones slams straight through the house without slamming on the brakes. A stone or two later, GB call a time out and on comes coach Glenn Howard to offer some expert advice...

To guard? Or not to guard? Two stones left for GB in this penultimate end...

Tip for Eve Muirhead - if you win don’t try the head first victory slide as I did when trying curling a few years back. I couldn’t feel the palms of my hands for two days!

China have two stones guarding the house like a pair of scary-looking rottweilers midway through the penultimate end. Eve Muirhead says it is time for Great Britain to tame them. They scuttle away into the bushes...

    Germany defend their crown!

The doubles duo go fizzing through the finish line in 2 minutes 24.517 seconds, ensuring that Germany take home the gold medal.

A genuinely chuffed looking Canada are second, and Austria third.

Down to the final roll of the dice. Eve Muirhead has found her groove in the past few ends, another inch-perfect delivery sticking her final stone on the bullseye. And with another lurking in the 25 - to use a darts comparison - China need to find their eye here.

OK, our reverse psychology hasn't worked... they made it look simple. China knock the British stone out of the way, taking one point and edging ahead again...

I think the way the girls are playing at the moment, they'll want to pick up a two here, rather than take a blank end. Because they've hit their stride a little bit, and they're looking high on confidence.
