There's a short intermission at the free dance event as the ice needs attending to. It does look a bit worse for wear, a bit like the service ends on Centre Court by the time finals day comes around at Wimbledon.
Meanwhile, an American crooner is brought on to entertain the troops. He belts out a rendition of 'This is my moment' from the show Jekyll and Hyde.
I feel like sport should always be this theatrical. Everyone's having a jolly good time.

Almost time for the British pair to go. We've had two of the four groups, with the British pair second to go in the third chapter. A massive mower is currently trundling around the ice.
Women's halfpipe final
There's concern here for American Maddie Bowman. The defending champion will not be defending her crown after falling for the third time. She lies prone for a little while, medics move to help her, but she eventually gets to her feet and walks away.

While the halfpipe final is going on, you can see that next to it is the ski cross course. They have been training today and getting some serious air off the jumps. It's going to be a spectacle when it gets under way tomorrow.

Team GB's James Woods on BBC One: Her first run was fantastic - she's put it down in the Olympic final. I can't say any more than that, I'm so proud of Rowan.
Such disappointment. Rowan Cheshire's final is over. After that first run looked so full of promise, she has crashed twice in her final two runs. She is still smiling - it was an achievement to make this final - but you can't help but think what might have been.
Spin in the first jump. Smoothly does it...
Cheshire waves to the camera. Composes herself. Here she goes...
Women's halfpipe final
Team GB'S James Woods on BBC One: "Rowan put down a really smooth first run and probably has exceeded her own expectations in that. She has what it takes to put down a really nice run, so we'll see where that can take her.
"If she puts down a scorcher, she can edge towards those medals. I would say it's within reach, Cassie is on another planet but if Rowan links it all together she has a big run on the cards."

Here come Rowan Cheshire. Can she produce that medal-winning final run?

Oh heck, we've got another rendition of that Muse Exogenesis song at the Ice Arena.
Not sure what part it was this time.
The pair who danced to it this time are Russians Tiffani Zagorski and Jonathan Guerreiro, who score 95.77 to move second.
That makes it a Muse one-two at the moment.

I think Cassie Sharpe has put it out of reach of anybody else there.
Women's halfpipe final
Cassie Sharpe had no need to go better, but she did it anyway. The Canadian, bronze medalist at the X Games, sticks another 1.40 points on to her lead. That gold medal is in her grasp...
Women's halfpipe final
It's not enough for Martinod. She improves her score ever so slightly, but Sharpe has the safety of knowing that she begins her second run with her lead still intact.
Women's halfpipe final
Deep into this second run and no one has come close to challenging Canada's Cassie Sharpe. France's Marie Martinod, the penultimate woman to drop, likes what she has accomplished. Her arms are in the air...

British duo Nick Buckland and Penny Coomes are dancing to a Muse song for their free dance a bit later.
A couple in group two of the competition have beaten them to the punch.
Marco Fabbri and Charlene Guignard of Italy have scored 105.31 with Exogenesis Symphony Part III, to put them top of the leaderboard for now.
It's a Matt Bellamy-off at the Winter Olympics!
