The United States have made some odd decisions in the last couple of ends. They played the riskier shot there, they've missed it and it's allowed Great Britain to take the lead. They'll be delighted to be in that position - they want to win this so they're in the semi finals with no doubt about it.

After that iffy start, Great Britain have gradually stamped their authority on this contest. The US are miles off target with their final stone and allow GB to take a point against the hammer. Britain have scored in each of the past three ends...

Czech Republic are the first team to reach the men's ice hockey semi-finals. The 1998 gold medal winners beat the USA on penalty shots after the two teams played out a thrilling 2-2 tie through three periods and overtime.

The Czech side scored one of their five shots through Petr Koukal, and netminder Pavel Francouz stopped all five US attempts.

This Czech team is great value and will face either the OAR or Norway in the final four.

As for the US they head home with their reputation boosted and a new superstar on their hands in Havard student and the tournament's leading goalscorer Ryan Donato, who may end up playing in the NHL before the end of the season with the Boston Bruins.

That ski cross final took place all inside one end of curling. Two stones left each. Nothing threatening the button of the target. This one is up for grabs.

Look what it means to Brady Leman. It has taken him so long to get here, onto an Olympic podium and he finally has his top spot.

These really are the gladiators of snow sports, they put everything on the line.

Looking again, Kevin Drury fell and took Sergey Ridzik out at the knees. Ridzik pulled himself up off the snow and walked up a slope, on skis, to get back in the race. The lengths you have to go to for an Olympic medal.

Leman pulled away down the final slope, the 31-year-old adding Olympic gold to his X Games success from 2016.

It hasn't been a textbook start by Great Britain, not quite the start they wanted but they'll keep it tight just like the women did earlier - they were never really in control but they played a stunning second half of the match.

I don't think the men will be too despondent at this point, just a few shots didn't quite come off for them.
