  1. gold-medal

Gold Medal - Andre Myhrer (Sweden)published at 05:29 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

    Men's slalom

Unbelievable drama! Henrik Kristoffersen makes a nervy start and goes down after getting tangled in a gate.

That means Sweden's Andre Myhrer is now the proud owner of an Olympic gold medal.

Switzerland's Ramon Zenhaeusern settles for silver - I'm sure he's more than pleased - with Austria's Michael Matt completing the podium.

  2. Kristoffersen goes for glorypublished at 05:26 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

    Men's slalom

Not gold. Ramon Zenhaeusern is still grinning but I imagine he is hurting - a tad - inside. Sweden's Andre Myhrer goes inside the Swiss man's time to take gold position.

One man left. Norway's Sochi bronze medallist Henrik Kristoffersen. It's his to lose...

    Men's slalom

Ramon Zenhaeusern clasps his head with both hands, then drops to the floor before breaking out in a broad grin. He's guaranteed a medal! France's Victor Muffat-Jeandet can't convert his slender advantage.

What colour is Zenhaeusern going to be taking home?

  4. Zenhaeusern still leadspublished at 05:21 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

    Men's slalom

No change at the top as a couple of Frenchman - Clement Noel and Alexis Pinturault - fall short of Ramon Zenhaeusern's leading mark.

Now Zenhaeusern is looking a tad worried. Norway's Sebastian Foss-Solevaag is matching his time through the first checkpoint then goes under at the next two... but then goes airborne at a crucial point on his approach to the line, costly him vital seconds.

Zenhaeusern survives and breathes a sigh of relief. Three to go...

Well this game has burst into life. What a second period this has been.

USA should have drawn level as Jocelyne Lamoureux misses a gilt-edged chance

Apparently ice dance champion Scott Moir is in the crowd today at the women's gold medal match.

Let's just say people have spotted the Canadian 'enjoying the party atmosphere'.

And why not? He's got two golds around his neck.

  7. Canada in controlpublished at 05:13 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

Ice hockey women's final: Canada 2-1 USA

    Caroline Chapman
    BBC Sport in Pyeongchang

The crowd has got bigger and louder as the match has gone on. It's probably three-quarters full now.

The Canadians blew the roof off when Marie-Philip Poulin slotted home their second goal of the match.

As it stands, they're heading for their fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal.

  8. Canada leadpublished at 05:13 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

And within five minutes of drawing level, Canada go in front.

Turnover allows Meghan Agosta to burst forward and pull back for Marie-Philip Poulin to convert. Ruthless

    Men's slalom

Dave Ryding has slipped down to fifth place as Switzerland's Ramon Zenhaeusern sits top of the pile. Eight men left to go...

Zenhaeusern is giving it the Churchillesque 'V for victory' as he watches the rest of the field come in. He's swigging on a bottle of water rather than chomping on a fat cigar though.

Not very long. Dave Ryding is bumped down to the silver medal position immediately as Austria's Michael Matt shaves half a second off the Briton's time.

And I reckon he'll sink quicker than a bag of sand in freshly-laid cement.

  12. Canada draw levelpublished at 05:05 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

Great start to the second period for Canada as they draw level, out of virtually nothing.

Blayre Turnbull squares for Haley Irwin to make it 1-1. The USA's lead lasted for less than three minutes

  13. Ryding in gold positionpublished at 05:03 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

    Men's slalom

Ryding glides through the first 10 gates, then starts to accelerate through his favourite part of the course as the Brits in Pyeongchang roar on their man.

The Lancastrian is looking to take the gold medal position - for now... and he's got it! A run of 51.07 gives him a total time of 1:40.16.

That's see how long that lead lasts...

Here's some more reaction from the other members of the British team...

Thomas Muirhead: "It was probably one of the better games we played this week and unfortunately a couple of half shots cost us when we got to ninth end and it was the turning point of the game.

"Other than that it was our best game of the week. We're massively disappointed."

Kyle Waddell: "It has been the worst and best experiences of our career. We'll come back and go again in the next four years.

"We've played pretty well this week and we had a couple of chances this week: to beat the USA and a lifeline again today.

"But a couple of half shots at this level and you can lose the game."

Cammy Smith: "It's been a great week for us and we'll move forward as a team. We had a lot of good games and just an ordinary shot here and there which has cost us."

"It's always a tricky situation, you don't want to give them blank in the ninth end so we were trying hard to force them to one," Smith told BBC Sport.

"Things weren't looking great early on and we missed a few. But we then had chances to hold them to two but Benoit Schwarz put a really nice shot through the hole and sadly that was the game.

"It's tough to reflect on the whole Games so soon after the loss but we came into our first Olympics and gave it our best shot. We made the play-offs in the end and had a good game today but it wasn't to be me.

"We have plenty to look forward to."

It was all looking so good...

Watch how Switzerland stunned Great Britain's men with a rare five-point stone in the ninth end to end GB's hopes of reaching the semi-finals of the curling.

Kyle Smith's rink led 5-4 going into the ninth end but lost 9-5 in the tie-breaker with Switzerland going on to face Sweden in the last four later today.

  20. Party in the USApublished at 04:50 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2018

Ice hockey women’s final: Canada 0-1 USA

    Caroline Chapman
    BBC Sport in Pyeongchang

Back in 2014, the USA had to settle for the silver medal after losing 3-2 in overtime against Canada.

Are they on their way to redemption? Hilary Knight banged home the opener with 25 seconds remaining of the first period to give the Americans the lead.

So far on the jukebox we’ve had Bryan Adams, Slade and Black Eyed Peas. Throw in some cheesy snacks and chilled beer and you’ve got yourself quite the party.
