Canada have been massively under the cosh for a large part of overtime.

The red bodies in the crowd can only groan as Emily Clark fails to convert from a decent position.

The players look exhausted. I'm exhausted just watching. The interchange is flowing freely as those tired legs are replaced, US forward Jennifer Wakefield showing a burst of energy to cut in from the left and fire just wide of the far post.

Helter skelter start to overtime. You could cut the tension with an ice pick.

The States are hogging the puck at the moment, without testing Canadian keeper Shannon Szabados. But then the defending champions counter and Maddie Rooney is needed to come to the rescue.
