Charlie Guest has been speaking to BBC Sport before the second run: "My goal coming in here was top 15 minimum. That's a really nice place to start from for the second round. It was a solid run. I think I've got more in me.
"There's been a lot of talk about the conditions and on the training hill the snow is really aggressive and that's something that doesn't necessarily suit my skiing style but here it is much more what I'm used to on the World Cup circuit
"As soon as I got into 11 gates I was like 'OK, I can work with this'.
"I think straight out the gate, second run it's going to be full charge all the way in to the finish."

Women's slalom second run
We have 58 skiers who have made it to the second run of the women's slalom and the times from their runs are added together to give them their final time.
The top 30 go in reverse order, then those from 31st to 58th in numerical order.
After the first runs Germany's Lerr Duena was in first place with a time of 52.17, with Switzerland's Michelle Gisin second (52.2) and Sweden's Sara Hector third 52.29.
Britain's Charlie Guest was 15th (53.84)

I just overheard Australia’s Valentino Guseli call that second run the “best moment of my life”.
That’s what the Olympics mean.
Alpine skiing - women's slalom
BBC Sport's Matt Pinsent has been speaking to Mikaela Shiffrin after the slalom where she didn't finish for the second race in a row at Beijing 2022:
He says the American was - unsurprisingly - really downbeat but that she was stopping to speak to media and spending a long time answering questions.
"After today's practice [my skiing] was really good, the last days of training have been really on point," she said.
"My plan was always to go full gas but I gave myself no space to make an error. I wanted it to feel really good and it did at the start gate but then that's just the way racing goes I suppose.
"It's hard to accept. I need to refocus now. While this race is over for me it's not for my team-mates and I'm really excited about that."
He also asked her if her tactics were going to change for her remaining events:
"I don't know, it didn't work out today and in the giant slalom. I don't know what has to change, I've never experienced this before, I need time to re-evaluate."
Women's slalom
For those just joining us, one of the biggest stories of the day has been the failure to finish the slalom course for two-time Olympic gold medallist Mikaela Shiffrin.
It was a similar story for her in the giant slalom earlier this week and means she will not take part in the second run of the slalom, which starts shortly.

Slopestyle Olympic medallist Jenny Jones on Charlotte Bankes, for BBC Sport: "People are getting excited after the seedings. They're all coming down all at once soon and that is what everyone is looking for."
On how Charlotte is feeling: "She's an all round athlete now, and being part of Team GB, she's said how much more she's fallen in love with snowboarding again."
What are her chances: "She's really good at choosing her line. She completely trusts her coach and his guidance, and she will enjoy being competitive.
"But this is snowboard cross... There will be tactics involved - and you've got to stay on your feet."
Women's snowboard cross 1/8 finals (06:30 GMT)
It's always risky trying to multi-task, as British world champion Charlotte Bankes found out when speaking to Tim Warwood while training.

Shaun White just let out a very frustrated roar as he walked past us.
All to do on the second run for the defending champion.

Shaun White drops his signature double cork 1260. He is not making life easy for himself.
You have to wonder if he needed those to qualify.
Men's halfpipe qualification
It starts off so well, but Shaun White's run ends with him on his backside and it's a score of 24.25.
It's not the end for him as he has got one more chance to earn his spot in the top 12 and qualify.
Here comes Shaun White. At the age of 35, he's more than twice the age of some of his rivals. What's he got for us?
Figure skating team event

BBC Sport in Beijing
Image source, Getty ImagesThe medals won at the team figure skating event at the Beijing Winter Olympics have yet to be handed out because of a legal issue, the IOC said.
The Russian Olympic Committee claimed the win on Monday, ahead of the United States and Japan.
They had a mini ceremony at the venue, in which they were handed Olympic mascot Bing Dwen Dwen teddy bears. However the official medal ceremony at a plaza in Beijing should have taken place on Tuesday evening.
IOC spokesman Mark Adams would not expand on what the issue was.
"The situation arose and came at short notice," he said. "It's an emerging issue so I can't add very much at the moment."
An update is expected later on Wednesday.

A huge crowd has formed near the halfpipe, not just those in the stands but volunteers and team members as well.
The Shaun White effect.

This is Shaun White's last Olympics, at the age of 35.
Sixteen years ago he won the first of his three halfpipe gold medals on 12 February, 2006.
When White won that gold, Australia's Valentino Guseli, also in this qualification event, was 10 months old.

You get these different body builds in halfpipe - the big rangy types like Scotty James, and the more compact riders.
The taller you are, the better you can make the transitions, you've got longer landing gear but then the more smaller you are the easier you create that spin and hold on to it.

Australia's Scotty James leads the halfpipe standings as it stands with his first-run score of 88.25.
He's spent most of the winter squirrelled away on his own private pipe in Switzerland as he bids to win Olympic gold.
Four years ago, he won bronze behind Shaun White and Ayumu Hirano but then dominated the sport for the two years after before lockdown hit.
Women's slalom
Image source, Getty ImagesEarlier today, we saw American Mikaela Shiffrin, slalom champion in 2014 and giant slalom winner in 2018, fail to finish her first run in the slalom to be eliminated from the competition, just as what happened to her in the giant slalom earlier this week.
She has been speaking to the world's media and said: "I was pushing out of the start. I had full intentions of skiing as hard as I could.
"I slipped up a little bit on one turn and I just didn't give myself room to make any kind of error like that. I was planning to go on the most aggressive line, the most challenging line to ski.
"But I also know it's the fastest. I didn't make it past five gates, so I guess that's what happened."
Asked how she was feeling, she said: "Pretty awful, yeah. But it won't feel awful for ever. I just feel pretty low right now."
