Absolutely huge numbers of teams and officials watching this final.
I’ve braved the -12C temperature to come outside and watch the second runs.

Men's halfpipe final
We're getting down to business now. Some brilliance from Switzerland's Jan Scherrer catapults him to the lead with a score of 87.25.
His athlete profile page says his ambition is to "win an Olympic medal" well, with that run, he may well be fulfilling that dream in the next half an hour.
Curling - Great Britain 2-5 USA (after four ends)
John Shuster turns the screw, removing the sole GB stone in the house to leave themselves with four scorers.
It's damage limitation time and a time-out is called. Dave Murdoch, the coach and an Olympic silver medallist, comes down to survey the situation. They agree on a tactic but Bruce Mouat's execution is a little awry and he can only remove one stone.
Shuster has a chance to take four but opts for the safety of chipping out GB's stone and taking three.
Men's halfpipe final
Kaishu Hirano, who was lying in bronze-medal position after run one, but has already been nudged down to fourth, is another to be unable to keep his balance and that's no improvement for him.

That was an incredibly tough take out for Bruce Mouat and it just slips by after catching the first yellow.
All about the angles and it just wasn't on point. A bit of magic needed to stop the US picking up a big score.

This could get nasty for Bruce Mouat's quartet and knowing that he opts for big weight to try and smash all three US counters out of the house.
This looks perfect, aiming to clip the first yellow and then cannon into the other two. No! He takes the first yellow but somehow slides between the other two counters.
Even Jackie Lockhart on commentary says he wouldn't be able to throw that again if he tried!
Men's halfpipe final
Germany's Andre Hoeflich catapults himself up to second with a score of 76 after wiping out in his first run. Taylor Gold, still in, er, gold.
Men's halfpipe final
Both the first two on the second runs crash - American Chase Josey and Switzerland's Patrick Burgener, with the Swiss damaging his board as he does so.
They've both got one last opportunity to get it right.
Curling - Great Britain 2-2 USA (after three ends)
There's lots of shouting down the ice sheet between John Hamilton and his US skip John Shuster. "We've got three stones to remove," bellows Shuster. Hamilton's throw is a little wayward though and clips a GB guard.
Grant Hardie then does likewise for Team GB though, knocking his own guard out of the way.
The US have the final stone in this end and with just the skips to throw, they lie three...

It’s ridiculous – the first time we’ve seen the triple cork at an Olympics.
Ayumo Hirano is the only man on the planet who can do this so far.
Men's halfpipe final
There's no messing about in this event, the first runs have just been done, and it's straight into the second of three.
Here we go again.

And there we have it. Ayumu Hirano lands the first triple cork at the Olympics.
This tricks sees the rider spin 1440 degrees on the horizontal axis whilst corkscrewing the rotation. That means their head goes under the board three times.
Do not try this at home.
Men's halfpipe final
Ayumu Hirano, brother of Kaishu Hirano, but no relation to countryman Ruka Hirano who went a few minutes ago, produces a sensational triple cork.
It's one for the highlights reel and looks amazing, but it won't help him get a medal as a later error plummets his score down to 33.75 and he's in ninth after the first run.

The question on everyone’s lips has been ‘Can he do it?’
It’s a big run, Shaun White take a bow.
He hasn’t shown that run to anyone in the build-up.
Men's halfpipe final
Scotty James, looking like a boxer, is on the ropes after his first effort as he can't land any punches and hits the deck, with that run only scoring 16.5.

Note Scotty James' red mittens - like boxing gloves, he wears them in finals to get him into the “fighting mindset".

Ruka Hirano of Japan, whose sporting hero rather randomly is Manchester City's creative genius Kevin de Bruyne, can't keep his balance and ends up on the snow.

Bruce Mouat told me yesterday he's enjoying having his sweepers back.
In the mixed doubles it was just him and Jen Dodds doing the work.
Now he has two big men in Hammy McMillan and Bobby Lammie to furiously sweep and guide the stone down the ice.
It makes the margin for error a little bigger, and they helped that stone curl into position for two.

It's been a good start to this match, good shots are being played by both teams.
Curling - Great Britain 2-2 USA (after three ends)
British skip Bruce Mouat cleans the bottom of his stone before pushing off with the first of his two shots in the third end.
He's facing two US stones in scoring spots. He clips off the edge of one, knocking it out of the house, while his nestles right into the centre - known as the button - to lie shot.
US skip John Schuster has one shot left... he decides he can't remove the British stone and opts to nudge in close to try stop Mouat taking two. He's left the door ever-so-slightly ajar though...
And Mouat rams straight through it, clearing the US stone and knocking one of his own out, but still scoring two.
