This a game Great Britain are expected to win, at this stage of the tournament they've got to try and win as many game as possible to rank themselves as high as they can.

It is really important for confidence as well, building that momentum.

Another end is blanked by Denmark - it's all about trying to keep the advantage of having the final throw - but they're still yet to get on the board.

It's not easy to miss Matt Hamilton when he's on the rink.

The USA are defending champions but suffered a third defeat from five this morning to leave their hopes hanging by a thread.

They have to beat China in this session to have any chance.

It's getting on for 9pm in Beijing. Conditions have not been the best today. I hope some of the biathletes and cross country skiers in particular are having a well deserved lie down.

Great Britain's start gets better in the men's curling match against Denmark.

Helped by some ropey play from their opponents, the Brits steal two from the third end to increase their lead to 4-0.

I can already spy some disappointed looks to the ceiling from the Danes.

In 2020 Dutch speed skater Lara van Ruijven died aged 27 after complications from an autoimmune disorder.

Today her former team-mates, wearing hearts on their sleeves in tribute, won gold in the 3,000m relay.

Shaoang Liu got out in front, he protected his line, nice clean skates, there was no messing about, not getting involved with anybody else, skated his own race and finished it nicely.

Just to further put those Hungarian celebrations into context...

Shaoang Liu's older brother Shaolin Sandor thought he had won the 1,000m gold on Monday but he was disqualified after a review.

No wonder he celebrated his younger sibling's win so wildly.

Great Britain's first match today in the men's curling came in the early hours. The 7-6 scoreline suggested a tight match but Great Britain played pretty well.

In this latest match we're now into the third end. Denmark blanked the second to keep the hammer but GB still lead 2-0.

That was a superb skate in the biggest race of his life from Shaoang Liu.

At the second time of asking, we're off! Ivliev dashes for the corner, but Liu gets there first. The world champion leads...

The announcer is no Michael Buffer, but there is a feel of fight night as the skaters' names are called before they enter the ring.

As expected, Dajing Wu crosses the line first. He leads from start to finish. Job done.

Russian Pavel Sitnikov is second, with Denis Kaznikisha and Roberts Kruzbergs following.

So, it's the B Final first. Dajing Wu didn't want to be in this race, but here he is.

It's a lovely start for Bruce Mouat and the Great Britain team in this curling round robin match against Denmark.

They take a 2-0 lead from the first end after some tidy play.

GB could join Sweden on five wins at the table of the table if they win here.

Back to the fast and furious short track speed skating.

More medals are up for grabs in the men's 500m, with the two event favourites out.

China's defending champion Dajing Wu lines up in Final B, while Korea's Daeheon Hwang - who won silver on home ice in Pyeongchang - didn't come through a tough semi-final.

That leaves Hungary's reigning world champion Shaoang Liu as the new fave.

It's been another busy day in Beijing. Here's everything you need to know:

• Both of Team GB's curling teams picked up wins, as the women's side beat Denmark after the men defeated China. The men have just started their second game of the day;
• Heavy snowfall in Beijing caused disruption to the alpine and freestyle skiing schedules;
• Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva's entourage are to be investigated by Wada following the 15-year-old's failed drugs test;
• Switzerland's Marco Odermatt took gold in the men's giant slalom;
• The Russian Olympic Committee won the men's cross-country skiing 4x10km relay, ahead of Norway and France.
• Norway's Marte Olsbu Roeiseland won the biathlon pursuit - her third gold of the Games - as Quentin Fillon Maillet won his second gold with victory in the men's event.
• Netherlands won the short track speed skating women's 3,000m relay.
• Meanwhile, Jamaican skier Benjamin Alexander became the Caribbean island's first alpine skier in the men's giant slalom.

The Netherlands really dominated that race, they took that race on from the start, they led every lap, their changes were seamless and worked perfectly as a team together.

Well deserved.
