Big moment here. Has the puck crossed the line for a second Finland goal?

Superb goalkeeping by Magnus Hellberg and the review says it's not a goal.

But barely a minute later Finland are in again - and score through Iiro Pakarinen. It's 3-2 with less than five minutes to go.

We're in for a grandstand finish at the National Indoor Stadium!

    Men's pursuit

Norway's Johannes Thingnes Boe is the first man out onto the course in the men's biathlon pursuit, closely followed by France's Quentin Fillon Maillet.

And leader Boe has added to his advantage slightly after the first kilometre, with around 30 seconds to play with now.

    A lookback at Saturday

    Tingyu GaoImage source, Getty Images

Tingyu Gao became China's first ever male Olympic speed skating gold medallist after he set a new Games record to claim the 500m title.

Gao made history as the first male Chinese athlete to win a speed skating Olympic medal with his bronze in 2018.

The 24-year-old's time of 34.32 seconds was 0.09 faster than the previous record, set by Haavard Lorentzen of Norway in Pyeongchang four years ago.

Will there be more medals for China today?

Finland came out in the third period with the bit between their teeth and their pressure has told as they score!

It's a nice move and Teemu Hartikainen finishes it off.

There's a cheer and banging of sticks on boards from the Finland contingent.

Should make the remainder of the game interesting!

    Ice hockey: Finland 1-3 Sweden

Finland have cut their deficit in the big ice hockey game against Sweden.

We're into the third period but they're just about still in it despite trailing 3-1.

You can watch that one above or over on the Red Button and iPlayer.

Earlier, we saw Norway's Marte Olsbu Roeiseland win her third gold of the Games in the women's biathlon pursuit.

Next up is the men's event, raced over 12.5km. It's an easy one to follow - first to the finish line wins it.

The sprint champion kicks things off as the first to head out, with everyone else starting at staggered intervals based on the time they were behind in that event.

It means Roeiseland's compatriot, Johannes Thingnes Boe, begins with a 26-second lead over Frenchman Quentin Fillon Maillet. Boe's brother, Tarjei, is 13 seconds further back.

The Biathletes stop at the shooting range four times, with every missed target bringing an extra 150m penalty loop.

In short track speed skating, the men's 500m is the sport's quickest event (from 11:00).

The hosts have huge potential in Ren Ziwei and Wu Dajing but they could be outwitted by a pair of Chinese-Hungarian brothers. Liu Shaolin and Liu Shaoang race for Hungary and are ranked first and fourth in the world respectively in this event.

Their Chinese heritage makes Beijing something of a homecoming, although a strange one since the pandemic will limit who can actually attend.

"Beijing is a huge opportunity for us," Shaolin said before the Olympics.

"Since there can only be local spectators, I hope they will support us in the same way as domestic competitors."

We have a lot of speed skating to come today with three medals to be won in total.

The programme begins with the men's 500m quarter-finals and semi-finals on the short track before the first medal final, the women's 3000m relay around 11:45 GMT

    The men's 500m final is at 12:14.

The women's 500m speed skating final should come just before 14:00.

From 11:30 GMT (there's been a slight delay to the schedule), qualifying for the women's freestyle skiing aerials final gets under way over at the Genting Snow Park.

The top six after the first round will go straight into the final, while the remaining athletes will jump a second time and the best six - using their highest score from the two runs - will also qualify.

China's women have won five silvers and two bronze medal since aerials was introduced at the 1994 Games, but never gold. The host nation will be hoping the experienced Mengtao Xu, 2018 bronze medallist Fanyu Kong, or Qi Shao can change that in 2022.

Reigning Olympic champion Hanna Huskova, of Belarus, might have something to say about that...

A hearing is set for 12:30 GMT today to determine the Olympic fate of Russian 15-year-old Kamila Valieva.

The figure skater trained in Beijing on Sunday, hours before a Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) panel hearing following her failed drugs test.

A verdict on whether Valieva can compete in the individual women's event in Beijing on Tuesday - and if she is to be stripped of team gold - will be made on Monday.

Valieva has been allowed to train after a successful challenge against her provisional suspension by Rusada and is the favourite to win.

  14. Watch: Roeiseland wins third gold in Beijingpublished at 10:09 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2022

    Biathlon women's pursuit

Norway's Marte Olsbu Roeiseland is having quite the Games.

This morning she won the women's pursuit by a massive margin, adding to her golds in the sprint and the mixed relay.

She also won bronze in the 15km individual event.

She'll have to pay for extra hand luggage on her flight home for all of her medals...

  15. Weather disruption on day ninepublished at 10:07 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2022

The weather has played havoc with the alpine & freestyle skiing schedules today, with several ski slopestyle events having to be pushed back a day because of the conditions at the Genting Snow Park.

Among the interruptions, the women's freeski qualifications were postponed and 33 of the 87 men's giant slalom starters were unable to finish.

Norway's Henrik Kristoffersen, who finished fourth in the opening run, used an expletive when asked to describe how little he could see in the blustery snow at the National Alpine Skiing Centre in Yanqing.

Temperatures are set to plummet to a quite uncomfortable -22C with further snow forecast on Monday. Factoring in wind chill, the temperatures in the mountains could reach -35C.

And you thought February in the UK was bad...

It's unravelling for Finland, who have had three men in the sin bin so far, making life very difficult for themselves as they try to get back in the game.

  17. What's happened so far on day nine?published at 10:00 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2022

Just waking up from a lovely Sunday morning lie-in?

Here's a quick recap of the key things that have happened so far on day nine at Beijing 2022:

  18. Postpublished at 09:56 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2022

If you tune into BBC Two right now you can watch a repeat of Great Britain's win over China in the men's curling, which happened in the early hours.

Commentator Steve Cram has just suggested curling might be the ideal sport to watch while winding down after a night out.

    I'm open to other suggestions...

    Make that two!

Sweden have doubled their lead in the space of a few minutes and are now 2-0 up on Finland in the second period.

It was a thunderbolt from Lukas Bengtsson, which the Finland goalkeeper only saw at the last second and he was powerless to do anything to keep it out.

The Finns are up against it now.

On the music front, it's an eclectic mix. We've had a bit of Black Sabbath and now Mambo Number 5 with some heavy hitting dance music in between!
