Great Britain are relentless in their good shot play and that just frustrates the opposition. The harder they tried, Britain were just making it more difficult.

That was a brilliant shot to finish things off. It was so close all the way. Great Britain get a much-needed win. With Sweden, Canada and the Russian Olympic Committee to come in their last three matches, one more win would pretty much see them in the semi-finals.

    Men's curling - Switzerland 5-6 Great Britain

That's a huge result for GB, who make it five wins from six to stay second in the table behind Sweden, with Canada third and the Russian Olympic Committee fourth.

Denmark and Norway is the only remaining game in this session - it has gone to an extra end after Norway levelled things up at 5-5 in the 10th.

Sweden have made it six wins from six - they have beaten the Russian Olympic Committee 7-5.

It was equally comfortable for Canada, they eased past Italy 7-3.

Denmark and Norway are going the distance though, it's the Danes who hold a 5-4 lead going into the 10th end.

Britain will have the hammer but this is going to go all the way to the final stone because when we are tied, we know we can't have an extra end. Someone has to win in the 10th.

That's unfortunate. Grant Hardie's attempt to take out the Swiss red misses and allows them to put a guard in on top of it.

Over to you, Bruce. Unfortunately the GB skip's stone clatters into the red at just the wrong angle and it spins closer to the button.

Looks like it'll be two for Switzerland here.

All over on the big air slope. Twelve athletes progress to tomorrow's final and we know who will be going for gold.

Canada's Sebastien Toutant was the defending champion but, after that heavy fall we told you about earlier, he has not finished in the top 12.

Toutant's absence is the biggest shock, with his Canadian team-mates Max Parrot and Mark McMorris going through as expected.

Japan's Takeru Otsuka, Norway's Marcus Kleveland and China's Yuming Su have also qualified and are expected to challenge for the medals.

Such a tight match this. Pretty much a must-win one for Switzerland while Great Britain have three tricky matches left, though they are in a fabulous position in the table with four wins and one loss. They have got to play Canada, Sweden and the Russian Olympic Committee after this.

  18. Canada 'extremely disappointed' with Valieva decisionpublished at 08:10 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2022

More on today's big news that Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva can compete again at the Winter Olympics after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) decided no provisional suspension should be imposed on the 15-year-old after she failed a drugs test.

Canada have reacted with dismay after finishing fourth in the team event behind Valieva's winning Russian Olympic Committee team.

"The situation that has unfolded with respect to the Russian figure skating athlete's doping case is extremely unfortunate and sad for the athletes," said the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) in a statement.

"The COC is fully committed to clean sport and we firmly believe that no one involved in doping or other corrupt practices has a place in the Olympic movement.

"While we trust that the Cas decision was the result of a fair process, we are extremely disappointed."

    Valieva decision

There has been plenty of strong reaction to the Valieva decision, with the United States particularly vocal against allowing her to compete.

"This appears to be another chapter in the systematic and pervasive disregard for clean sport by Russia," said United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee chief executive Sarah Hirshland.

Now Canada has also had its say...

    Men's curling

It is getting tight and tense in the other three men's curling round robin matches.

Sweden were 4-1 ahead against Russian Olympic Committee but the ROC were lying two at the end of the sixth end to peg them back to 4-3.

It is looking a little more comfortable for Canada, they lead 4-2 against Italy, while Denmark have just edged into a 4-3 lead against Norway.
