The Dutch get the lap and fly to the top of the standings, 16 points ahead of Great Britain.
If Elinor Barker and Neah Evans are to retain the Olympic title for GB, they need to make a similar move themselves.

Netherlands have just lapped the field, a feat that earns them 20 points in one go. The riders sling shot each other with the handovers and the Dutch have just catapulted themselves into the lead.

Ah stressful. I can't cope watching it.
I think they [GB] are racing well but I actually think their change pattern might be out of whack at the moment.

The Netherlands are going for the lap. A lap is worth 20 points, remember.
Neah Evans leads the chasing group but the Dutch have opened up a sizeable gap.

GB missed out on sprint six, but they are back in the points with Elinor Barker coming second for three points to take their overall total to 14 points.
GB lead, USA second on 12, Denmark and France level in third on 10 points apiece.

We're at the halfway point, 60 laps gone, 60 laps to go. No joy for Great Britain in the sixth sprint and as a result they drop down to second, with Americans Jennifer Valente and Lily Williams taking over the lead.

Terrible goal to concede. Defensively the French have been good in this tournament. They have only conceded that goal against Egypt in the semi-final but so far in the first 20 minutes they've been really out of position.
It's got even worse since then, Julien!

Sometimes it's not worth the effort to scrape a single point.
You lose more than you gain in terms of energy and then you're vulnerable to attack immediately after.

It's raining goals at the Parc des Princes.
Now Alex Baena gets in on the act, curling in a 25-yard free-kick on 28 minutes.
The Villarreal winger sends it over the wall and into the France net. Goalkeeper Guillaume Restes can only stand and watch.
This wasn't in the script!

GB just miss out on the fifth sprint glory, coming fifth when only the top four pairs get in the points.
Nevertheless, GB are still leading with 11 points to their name so far. Seven sprint events to go.

Not Spain goalkeeper Arnau Tenas' finest hour.
Track cycling - women's madison
Neah Evans makes a breakaway for sprint number four, but she can't hold on to the lead, coming second behind the Danish duo of Amalie Dideriksen and Julie Norman Leth, but it's another three points to the British total.
All going well with Evans and Elinor Barker leading after four of 12 sprints.

Blimey, what a start to this game!
Fermin Lopez strikes again on 25 minutes to silence the home crowd.
A low cross comes in from the left wing and although captain Abel Ruiz's close-range effort is blocked by goalkeeper Guillaume Restes, Fermin is on hand to tap in the rebound.

There will be coaches who will be able to give the rider's a small amount of instructions, the riders themselves will be able to briefly glance at the scoreboard as they go round but it does take a lot of awareness from the group to know what's happening.
It's like don't blink or you might miss something.

Five points for France and three for Great Britain and those two pairs are now tied on eight points, with Italy third on seven.

Now it's Spain's turn to wave in the air they like just don't care.
Barca starlet Fermin scuffs his first-time shot but the spin sends the ball hurtling into the bottom corner.
He darts off to the left corner flag where, handily, there is a pocket of outlying Spanish fans celebrating.
Not many here but the noise they are creating echoes around the largely-quiet cavernous bowl.

If there's a contest for 'most nauseating job at the Olympics', I've found the winner.
Can you spot the cameraman in this photo? He's on a rotating platform and spins around following the riders around the track. He's got 120 spins to do in this madison, plus the rest when he's untangling his cables.
Never mind the chaos on the track, my motion sickness would cause chaos off it.
Football - men's final: France 1-1 Spain
Well that lead didn't last long.
Fermin Lopez, Spain's leading scorer in Paris, brings his side level with his fifth goal of the tournament on 18 minutes.
Sergio Gomez plays the ball inside from the right wing to Alex Baena, who shows great awareness to spot Lopez unmarked in the box.
He rolls the ball into the Barcelona midfielder, who sweeps it past France goalkeeper Guillaume Restes from just inside the box.

Italy's Chiara Consonni and Vittoria Guazzini take the second sprint to get five points to add to the two they got from the first one and move into the lead with seven points. No joy for GB in that sprint.
