Netherlands have just lapped the field, a feat that earns them 20 points in one go. The riders sling shot each other with the handovers and the Dutch have just catapulted themselves into the lead.

Neah Evans leads the chasing group but the Dutch have opened up a sizeable gap.

GB missed out on sprint six, but they are back in the points with Elinor Barker coming second for three points to take their overall total to 14 points.

GB lead, USA second on 12, Denmark and France level in third on 10 points apiece.

We're at the halfway point, 60 laps gone, 60 laps to go. No joy for Great Britain in the sixth sprint and as a result they drop down to second, with Americans Jennifer Valente and Lily Williams taking over the lead.

Fermin Lopez strikes again on 25 minutes to silence the home crowd.

A low cross comes in from the left wing and although captain Abel Ruiz's close-range effort is blocked by goalkeeper Guillaume Restes, Fermin is on hand to tap in the rebound.

There will be coaches who will be able to give the rider's a small amount of instructions, the riders themselves will be able to briefly glance at the scoreboard as they go round but it does take a lot of awareness from the group to know what's happening.

It's like don't blink or you might miss something.

Can you spot the cameraman in this photo? He's on a rotating platform and spins around following the riders around the track. He's got 120 spins to do in this madison, plus the rest when he's untangling his cables.

Never mind the chaos on the track, my motion sickness would cause chaos off it.

Well that lead didn't last long.

Fermin Lopez, Spain's leading scorer in Paris, brings his side level with his fifth goal of the tournament on 18 minutes.

Sergio Gomez plays the ball inside from the right wing to Alex Baena, who shows great awareness to spot Lopez unmarked in the box.

He rolls the ball into the Barcelona midfielder, who sweeps it past France goalkeeper Guillaume Restes from just inside the box.

Italy's Chiara Consonni and Vittoria Guazzini take the second sprint to get five points to add to the two they got from the first one and move into the lead with seven points. No joy for GB in that sprint.
