That’s absolutely brilliant. I had my fingers crossed.

Cathrine did make some mistakes and the music wasn’t quote as powerful as Lottie's.

She definitely deserved to stay in bronze.

    British dressage is so strong.

  2. bronze medal

Bronze Medal for GB's Frypublished at 12:30 British Summer Time 4 August

    Equestrian - individual dressage final

Lottie Fry and Glamourdale hold onto third place and the bronze medal for Great Britain!

Denmark's Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour on Freestyle was the last rider to go and her score of 88.093 is only good enough for fifth.

Jessica von Bredow-Werndl defends her Olympic title on her horse TSF Delera BB with a mightily impressive 90.093. That's her fourth gold medal.

Her Germany team-mate Isabell Werth takes silver.

It's a sixth medal of the Games for Spain and their fourth bronze.

Germany's defending Olympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and her horse TSF Delera BB become the first combination to break the 90.000% mark. They go into gold medal position.

Lottie Fry and Glamourdale are bumped down into bronze.

There's one rider to come. That's Denmark's Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour on Freestyle. Freestyle was reared near Thirsk, North Yorkshire (which happens to be where my mum grew up!) and was previously ridden by Charlotte Dujardin.

Dressage medals are 'wide open' going into last two routinespublished at 12:19 British Summer Time 4 August

This is just incredible sport what we are watching right here. We are all sat at the edge of our seats.

At the moment, it is wide open because we just don't know what is going to happen in these next two tests. Particularly because Jessica von Bredow-Werndl made a couple of mistakes yesterday...

Jessica will know what she has to do and how she is going to have to perform though - I think we will have to hold our breath.

Fleetwood birdie as Scheffler starts hotpublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 4 August

    Jonathan Jurejko

Bogey on the first? Better get the shot back with a birdie on the second then.

Tommy Fleetwood nails his short iron to the par-three second green and confidently drains the putt.

    As you were.

Fleetwood goes back to 13 under, one adrift of Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele.

But he can’t shake off Scottie Scheffler. A third birdie on the bounce sees the top dog bound up alongside him.

    Women's 400m hurdles - round one

Again, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone strolls through with astonishing ease. She looks like she's jogging over the line in 53.60!

We're in for a stunning battle between the USA athlete and Femke Bol, the two standouts of these heats by some distance.

Noura Ennandi of Morocco and France's Louise Maraval are the other automatic qualifiers from the last heat.

For Team GB, Lina Nielsen already booked her place in Tuesday's semis but Jessie Knight is going to have to rely on the repechage round to see if she can advance further.

    Bobby Hayler

Absolutely terrific from Lottie Fry and Glamourdale!

You can just tell Glamourdale just loves dancing to the music. You can just see how much more they are together again today.

She was so close to Isabell Werth's score and we saw her performance and thought: 'Wow, look at that!' - so for Lottie to be so close to that, she has done so well.

    Katie Falkingham

Lottie Fry and Glamourdale score 88.971%. That puts them second with three combinations to come.

Another cracking soundtrack. Bit of Queen and 'Another One Bites the Dust', the Beatles and 'Hey Jude'. It started and ended with God Save the King.

Unfortunately, won't be hearing that again later but can Fry hold on to her spot on the podium?

    Colin Jackson

    Women's 400m hurdles - round one

Great effort from Lina Nielsen. The Team GB athlete is all smiles at the finish line as she finishes in second to book her place in the semi-finals.

A calm, professional race from Nielsen with a time of 54.65 - she was fourth coming into the final 100m but just had to hold her nerve as others faded.

Up next in the final heat is our first look at USA's world record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone...

Oh Tommy! Fleetwood drops a shot on the first hole and moves back to 12 under.

The Brit goes over the pin to the back of the green and can’t get up and down for a par.

Co-leaders Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele start steady with pars to stay on 14 under but someone ahead starts birdie-birdie to go within two.

    It’s Scottie getting hottie!

World number one Scheffler jumps alongside Fleetwood while playing partner Rory McIlroy goes 11 under with a birdie on the first.

Bol cruises through, Knight in fifthpublished at 11:56 British Summer Time 4 August

    Women's 400m hurdles - round one

My word, I'm not sure how Femke Bol makes it look so effortless.

She wins her heat in 53.38, fairly pedestrian by her standards with a PB of 50.95 to her name.

GB's Jessie Knight comes fifth in her heat after a strong finish, clocking 55.39, so she'll have to wait and see whether that's enough for a fastest loser spot or if she'll be relying on the repechage.

    Equestrian - individual dressage final

Lottie Fry is the final Brit to go. She scored 78.913% in qualifying, and will need more than the huge 89.614% that Germany's Isabell Werth has just scored to go top in this final with three combinations left after her. What have her and Glamourdale got in their bag of tricks today?

Yesterday in the medallists’ press conference, Fry said her music would be "best of British, with a French twang".

    Ooh la la.

    She’s done it!

British shooter Amber Rutter is through to the women's skeet final.

A fifth qualification round score of 24 out of 25, proved to be a further demonstration of composure and consistency under pressure.

Amber missed just three targets out of 125 in qualification, a feat matched by USA's Austen Smith and Greece's Emmanouela Katzouraki.

On progressing to the final just over three months since giving-birth to her baby son, Tommy, Rutter added: “It feels like all the hard work has paid off and all the sacrifices I’ve made in the last few months have worked.

“It is just a marathon getting through these first few days to get to that final, but now we start from scratch and go again.

“I’m feeling great and looking forward to the final.”

The top-six final starts at 14:30 BST.

    Women's 400m hurdles - round one

Jamaica's Rushell Clayton eases through the first heat in a winning time of 54.32, with Portugal's Fatoumata Diallo and Amalie Iuel of Norway also qualifying in second and third respectively.

In heat two, USA's Jasmine Jones is a comfortable winner in 53.61 seconds, followed by South Africa's Rogail Joseph and Canadian Savannah Sutherland.

The top three from each heat and the next three fastest make it to the semis on Tuesday evening, with the repechage rounds (another chance to qualify) preceding them.

Up next in heat three is Great Britain's Jessie Knight and a certain Femke Bol, fresh from her last-leg heroics that sealed gold for the Netherlands in last night's 4x400 mixed relay.

I'm not surprised Carl Hester remains in the lead. It was a fantastic performance from Karl and I loved watching him and Fame enjoy it.

That showed through and, because they enjoyed it so much, the music just gave it that extra little bit to make the score brilliant.

Carl still has that love and fight for it. He has said a couple of times that other games would be his last Olympics, but he still is loving it.
