    Ellesse Andrews just looked too strong for Emma Finucane today.

    There's still a medal on the cards for world champion Finucane though. She'll race for bronze with race one at 11:45 BST.

    The second heats of the women's sprint semi-finals are about to get under way and Emma Finucane has to beat Ellesse Andrews in this one to keep her hopes of Olympic gold alive.

    Finucane was keeping her legs ticking over on the rollers between heats, with her and coach Scott Pollock appearing to be watching that first race back on a laptop.

    There are a whole host of team analysts in the upper stands here, filming every race to provide that instant feedback for the riders.

    There's plenty for Emily Campbell, too, who has red, white and blue braids in her hair. She's said before that her hair is an important part of her competing - "if you look good, you perform good, that's my motto".

    Team GB's Neah Evans suffered a nasty fall in the scratch race, the first event of the women's omnium.

    Thankfully Evans got up pretty quickly, but it is a real blow to her hopes of a medal.

    The second event, the tempo race, is at 10:57 BST.
