Thanks for sticking with us through another drama-filled day at Paris 2024.

Team GB have added another four medals to their tally with two silver and two bronze.

Teenage skateboarding sensation Sky Brown kicked it off with bronze before track cycling trio Jack Carlin, Ed Lowe and Hamish Turnbull scooped silver in the men's team sprint.

Over at the Stade de France, Josh Kerr picked up silver in the 1500m and in the unusual but rather stunning setting of Roland Garros boxer Lewis Richardson claimed bronze after a semi-final defeat by Mexico's Marco Verde.

That's an overall haul of 46 medals - three more than at this stage of Tokyo 20 - with 12 gold, 15 silver and 19 bronze.

    Highlights

Matthew Hudson-Smith is considered the centre of a British revival over 400m after GB failed to field an athlete in this event three years ago. Hudson-Smith has come through a series of injuries and mental health struggles to be one of the world’s leading male 400m runners this season. Rivals in his final (20:20) could include American Quincy Hall and Grenada’s Kirani James, one of a six-strong Grenada team at Paris 2024 and the only Grenadian ever to win an Olympic medal (three, including gold at London 2012).

It is team pursuit night at the velodrome. Britain’s men did not make it to the final in Tokyo, while the women finished with silver. Can Team GB recapture some of their track cycling dominance in one of the Olympics’ most exhilarating split-screen events? Find out from 17:04.

John Gimson and Anna Burnet narrowly missed out on a Tokyo Olympic title in sailing’s mixed Nacra 17 class, a racing catamaran. They are the 2020 and 2021 world champions but their nemeses in this class are Italy’s Ruggero Titaand Caterina Banti, who won Tokyo gold and have taken the past three world titles, too. Can Gimson and Burnet find a way past in Paris? The medal race is today.

In the 470 mixed dinghy class, also finishing today, GB have 2022 world silver medallists in Chris Grube and Vita Heathcote. Grube, 39, who twice finished fifth at the Olympics in the men’s 470 alongside Luke Patience, was coaxed out of retirement to pair up with 23-year-old Heathcote.

    • Great Britain's Josh Kerr was made to settle for Olympic 1500m silver behind shock champion Cole Hocker, as Jakob Ingebrigtsen missed out on a medal.
    • GB duo Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita finished within three-hundredths of a second of making the Olympic 200m podium as the USA's Gabby Thomas stormed to gold.
    • Away from athletics, 16-year-old skateboarding star Sky Brown overcame a dislocated shoulder to win bronze in the women's park final.
    • Jack Carlin, Ed Lowe and Hamish Turnbull continued Team GB's medal-winning start at the Olympic velodrome with cycling team sprint silver in Paris.
    • Diver Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix was overcome with emotion as she missed out on a medal in the 10m platform final, while GB's equestrian team also failed to make the podium in the individual jumping final.
    • But GB boxer Lewis Richardson claimed bronze in the men's 76kg, as Imane Khelif moved another step closer to Olympic gold after putting aside the row surrounding her eligibility to comprehensively win her semi-final against Janjaem Suwannapheng in Paris.

What a performance. Not just in this contest but throughout the tournament itself.

She has not really been troubled. In that contest there, that was probably the closest anyone had got to her.

She has shown us she can box any way indeed. Tremendous, what a talent. Double Olympic champion and that's what dreams are made of.

Her supporters have come out in their hundreds, if not thousands here tonight. Irish flags everywhere and congratulations to her.

A fantastic performance throughout the tournament.

Hodgkinson rings the bell after her 800m winImage source, PA Media

Team GB's Keely Hodgkinson speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live after collecting her 800m gold medal earlier this evening: "I have seen so many great examples of Olympic champions in our sport, we have had Jessica Ennis, Kelly Holmes, and their legacies have continued for a long, long time. It is such an honour to join that calibre of women that Team GB has had.

"I am looking forward to the opportunities that will come my way. Along with the training hard I will find a way to enjoy it all."

On what she will do to switch off: "I feel like I am going to go fully into normal 22 year old mode. I am going to join my family in Marbella, I grew up going there on holiday with them, and I haven't been on a family holiday since 2019.

"My siblings are older now, my brother is 20, my sister is 18, my other sister is 15, so I feel like we can have a good time together. I'm going to switch off from the world and enjoy this moment with them, because they have sacrificed just as much helping me.

"My sister sent me a really nice text this morning saying, 'Good morning Olympic champ! So, so proud of you!' So yeah it is really nice to have them here to support me. It has been a journey for all of us."

'Carbs before Marbs'? "I've heard that saying quite a lot in the last few days. I'll be looking forward to sipping a nice sangria on the beach I think."

She has done it. Harrington retains the title she won in Tokyo three years ago.
