There’s a great chat going on between Ingrebrigtsen and the Kenyan athletes. It is very steady.
They are just starting to gradually wind it up.

Well ridden, Emma Finucane's tactics clearly were decided before the race. She stayed high and dictated when to go.

Having got in such bother in his 5000m heat, George Mills is looking to avoid getting stuck in a crowd once again.
After briefly popping up in the lead, Mills is now sat well-placed in fifth with still plenty of race left to run.

Emma Finucane eases into tomorrow's sprint semi-finals.
Win that semi-final - again a best-of-three format - and she's guaranteed a third Olympic medal at these Games.
Worth a reminder, she's only 21.
Women's heptathlon - silver medal
BBC Sport
Katarina Johnson-Thompson has been getting to grips with winning the silver medal in the women's heptathlon, and talking to BBC Sport:
I hope you slept well and I hope you slept with that medal under your pillow:
"Neither – I didn’t sleep well, and I haven’t got my medal yet. I’m really really excited for later, and napping later as well."
Managing emotions is part of heptathlon – how have you been following that: "It’s definitely one of the difficult things to do, managing the heptathlon and especially the timetable in particular.
"Our day two was very short in that we had to go direct from the long jump to the javelin and then stew on what we had to run in the 800m for about seven hours, so it was me trying to nap or sleep for five hours but in the end I was just being alone with my thoughts."

Just some light chit-chat from Jakob Ingebrigtsen to his fellow competitors at this stage.
He likes to do this to show how comfortable he is.
Strolling off, able to wander off and wander back in.
Ingebrigtsen, who so surprisingly missed out on a medal in the men's 1500m, is looking to make amends in the 5000m right now.

Being synchronised is the essential aspect of artistic swimming, so it's pretty helpful if you have twin...
It turns out that four of the top five in the standings after the first round are either twins - or in one case - two of a set of triplets!
The only ones who aren't are GB's Kate Shortman and Izzy Thorpe - but they are childhood best friends and their mums used to compete in the sport together, so surely that's almost like being twins?

China are leading the artistic swimming duet event. If they win this evening, they will have a clean sweep of golds in three sports (artistic swimming, diving and table tennis). That can't have happened much before?

More from Katarina Johnson-Thompson: “I couldn't see a way forward because my jumping was so dominant with my achilles rupture and I didn't know if I could get back to being my best. If I'm not competitive I don't want to be out there and I wasn't competitive.
“I'm just so happy I found a different way to put together my heptathlon and feel like I have got a bit of longevity in this event now.”
On the possibility of her competing at LA 2028: “If I’m competitive, I will be there."

A lively crowd, a packed arena. These are the stages Gianmarco Tamberi thrives on.
One of the sport's current great entertainers, the Italian was in hospital earlier this afternoon after vomiting blood but refused to miss the chance to retain his Olympic title.
He had the whole crowd behind him as he managed to get over 2.22m at the third and final attempt.
Now he has one last chance to clear 2.27m. He kneels and prays. Then he calls on the crowd once more...
It's not to be. After a turbulent build-up, the Italian waves thanks and goodbye to the crowd after what must have been an incredibly difficult week.

After that awful crash, they're going to restart that keirin repechage race in a little while after giving the riders a bit of time to compose themselves.
They've just been patching up the track and hoovering up any debris.
Athletics - men's 5,000m
On the athletics track, we are about to get under way in the men's 5000m final - where we have a bloated field of 22 athletes following some chaotic heats where several runners fell amid collisions, then were permitted to progress to the final.
Among them is GB's George Mills, who was very unhappy after he felt he was impeded on the home straight and took a tumble...
